If you'd like to get your feet wet with the tube amps, I'll say the earmax pro is a very good start.
I have heard it with all the headphones in your list and it ranges from good to very good match with most of the headphones listed.
pros:
very small size and easy to tube roll.
good example of what tubey amps sound like.
negs:
not as nuanced and resolving as other amps.
could be too tubey-sounding, but that could be remedied by tube rolling.
Beely,
good grief....... because I was thinking the other two. Man, those legs on the last on the right and the rack on the second from the left....
But, of course, this is just kidding they are way too young for my age, and more importantly , I am, well, taken.
Interesting concept, but at that introductory price, dunno what they are thinking.
I regularly use a nokia internet tablet as book reader. Not EVDO capable, but I can hook it up to my treo 650 via BT on the road and it's wifi at home or hotspots. So I think I'll stick to this.
Also,
Many guys keep the same ID/user name in different forums. Even though may be quite time consuming, googling user names could provide a way to contact them in other forums as last resort.
Justin, I think that if you post some info on your website asking people who pre-ordered the pico to shoot you an email, you'll get quite a few that way.
Nice pics Nate. Thanks!
So you liked the w5000? Were they stock single ended or balanced?
So, Tom went "light" this time? No meitner stuff/electrostats?
Actually, 1924 or whatever, is part of his street address. I know that because I once made the mistake of selling him an amp. Worst transaction in H-F history. He may be a good seller, but not a good buyer IMO.
I also saw him once at a philly meet: he is old, but not 83...
A great advantage is that if the power cord is stiff enough you can actually semi-levitate the gear with them and get rid of any "spurious vibrations."
I've seen gear that needs blocks to be placed on top, otherwise the powercord will lift them from the rack....
condescending with an agenda is what I think...
here is the thread that spritzer brings up. I took issues with a few things he wrote.

I don't think they sound horrible either. But I can totally understand if some don't like them. In my opinion they actually sound fantastic out of the qualia 007.
Worthy of picking up. Much improved instrument presentation and "crispiness" of the sound. Good re-master.
Haven't listen to the bonus material, including the second CD of live at the Elyse'e.
Will report back once I listen to everything.
I think the SA5000 are recable worthy. Nice opening of the sound. Not as dramatic as with the 010, but noticeable.
I may go for one of those funky pfr.... pffft
Hum, dunno.
Here is more or less a run down of the steps I followed during the installation:
I started by updating to the latest version of windows media player. (since the netflix player is basically running on WMP) Then I did the netflix installation. The connection I use is FiOS.
What does it shows when you first go into the "watch instantly" area as your video quality?
I haven't had any poor resolution issues.
