if true there would be holes in the right side panel where the capacitors were mounted, i dont see any. i doubt the panel was replaced

laser engraving won't be that cheap either. typically, i have paid around $125 setup per artwork. using my own machine, it would probably take me about 2 hours to set up the artwork. there would also only be 1 shot at getting it right the cheapest way might actually be to find a hand engraver

not all KGSS DX (there were like 2 or 3 of them) had the black gate caps originally. it was a custom sized box that I got from Lansing

i'm late here but your experience with the oscillation is very similar to what i tried >10 years ago with a mosfet output version of a balanced dynalo front end. It only oscillated with K1000 plugged in

We've been selling the full product line for years, plus extension cables. We didn't have access to parts except maybe ear pads...but dealer cost was still more expensive than buying the pads from Japan, so it made no sense. I believe repairs might get sent back to Japan now

We're getting set up as well. We were still sending in orders to Yamas and not receiving any response. Ended up visiting their office. Not sure if they knew or didn't know what was going on Birgir got an amp order due to this

maybe i just got a bad batch, but i had a lot of trouble with the Alpha pots and plan to stop offering it in the GS-X mk2. A large percentage of them have a noticeable lump at a particular point when turning it. Sometimes you have to have a large knob attached first and then turn it slowly to find the spot. but around half of them ended up in the trash

Going to get one of the Sonnet Echo thunderbolt docks i think the blu-ray drive model is only $33 more than a DVDRW. so that makes sense. and it comes with software to play blu rays the blu-ray burner model is another $100, and you're on your own for playback software. Having never burned a blu ray before or even played one on my computer, is the burnable media worth it?
