  1. Based on This^ This v Secret Love Letters by Lisa Batiashvili (2022) https://album.link/i/1627513869 Example: It is a little tough when you don't know the works, and further more not even familiar with the composers (Frank, Szymanowski, Chausson). But --- captivating? yup. Well recorded? yup (it is DG) And makes me want to see her perform at some point.
  2. Caribou by Elton John (1974) https://album.link/i/1440912739 Example: I have to say I am a little mixed. Some top tier songs on this album, mixed with some that did nothing for me. May be could have not been a double album? Just saying. But I will accept it for the highs. Eldorado by Electric Light Orchestra (1974) https://album.link/i/1054523537 Example: ^^ one of the better non-Beatles Beatles songs.. Jeff Lynn and the team doing what they do...
  3. for reasons Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - Soundtrack (1992) https://album.link/i/46734067 Example: I was not up for watching this movie, but I was up for the amazing soundtrack by Badalamenti.
  4. Even In The Quietest Moments... by Supertramp (1977) https://album.link/i/1440868388 Example: Based on listening above, I just kept on listening to Supertramp... As I should...
  5. Sad - I was getting ready to watch Mulholland Drive soon, I guess it will be sooner.. RIP David.
  6. But this was the Album Cover that I grew up with. Worlds Apart by Saga (1981) https://album.link/i/1457350358 Example: Don't listen to it for 20 years, then sing along with every lyric. Yup it is an album that is ingrained.
  7. Happy Curry Birthday.. From Gemini: And ChatGPT Cheers --
  8. Beethoven: Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 61 - Tsintsadze: Miniatures by Lisa Batiashvili (2008) https://album.link/i/380160164 Example: So my friend in LA went and saw Lisa perform the Violin Concerto the other night and he thought it was wonderful. I took a look and saw that she recorded it back in 2008, one of her first recordings. While that was 17 years ago, it was still very good. I am sure hearing her live today would be even better.
  9. Crime Of The Century [2014 - HD Remaster] by Supertramp (1974) https://album.link/i/1440646658 Example: I always think of Supertramp from 79 into the 80s, not 1974. Even this does not feel like 74 to me. Just a high quality album from the tramp.
  10. ^^ I happen to like them both, but DOMi is definitely really good. Red (Expanded & Remastered Original Album Mix) by King Crimson (1974) https://album.link/i/918614446 Example: More Jazz than I remember, but it has been a while since I put this on. Very good, and doing things different as always. Like this 12.5 minute track.

  12. Fire by Ohio Players (1974) https://album.link/i/1434907387 Example: The title track is the star of the show, but once I found 'What the Hell' (track 7), I was entranced. Not just by the album cover. And yup it was a gatefold.
  13. Kimono My House by Sparks (1974) https://album.link/i/1443750483 Example: More fun than I was expecting, and really good.
  14. Happy birthday Illuminator - cheers
  15. This. (boring stereo version) Murry is one of my favs for Mozart. This whole combo works really well for me for the 2nd Concerto. I am not sure I am a real fan of the first just as a work, nothing against this version. Thanks rob.
  16. Streetlights by Bonnie Raitt (1974) https://album.link/i/287366514 Example: Strong Album. I only knew her in the 80's once I found Nick Of Time and the rest. I should have, and still should, explore her 70s work. One of the quintessential voices in my life. Ed: of Note - Drums – Stephen Gadd... :}
  17. Still have some 50yo's kicking around in my queue: In Too Much Too Soon by New York Dolls (1974) https://album.link/i/1443895609 Example: Fun rock with early punk vibes.
  18. Cheers HC Team - HNY
  19. 50yo Phases And Stages by Willie Nelson (1974) https://album.link/i/885243424 Example: I really like this album. Tender and pretty. He was happy to be on Atlantic records.
  20. Yup - long time Rick subscriber.
  21. 50yo -- Oh yeah ^^ one is 50yo as well. Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan (1974) https://album.link/i/1696215205 Example: More diverse than other albums, which I liked. But it is a good not great album for me. Of course a handful of killer tunes, but then a few that are a miss for me. It will be in rotation. Well until I listen to Aja again and this one may get lost in the queue.
  22. Happy new year smoked pork belly x3 y'all..
  23. Moontan by Golden Earring (1974) https://album.link/i/81668043 Example: Another band that I know by name and two songs. My bad, I would have had these on my playlists a long time ago. There is a lot for me here. Great jams, 9+minute songs. Classic guitar sound. Now that I know, I shan't forget.
  24. ^^ this. (I think I get it) -- 🤔
