  5. Rick doing his best to herd cats, and it is just one cat. Chris had all the cold brew that day. But he is amazing and engaging.
  6. Never a fan of Durst, but I had nothing against Sam Rivers the bass player. Passed away on the 18th @ 48yo. RIP Sam.
  7. A Jazz Portrait Of Frank Sinatra by Oscar Peterson (1959) https://open.qobuz.com/album/0060254747135 Example: Jaunty morning jazz.
  8. Cheers Peter - wishing you a happy birthday -
  9. ^^ this. It is very good, such an early release @ 1951. Thanks Rob.
  10. ^^ okay Mr. Deep Dive... Cool stuff. I still have not subscribed to KEXP channel yet, I think it is just because they post too much for me. And I have priorities, like Irish people eating things, and movie reaction videos... anyway, released today. Melancholia by Rick Wakeman (2025) https://album.link/wxbctpcv6nhgs Example: 125th album release.. It's lovely. Solo Piano. Shows his deep understanding of melody and themes. A little mellow? maybe, but it is Melancholia.
  11. Happy Birthday Carl, Peter, and Iain... -- cheers to you all.
  12. because reasons... Voodoo by D'Angelo (2000) https://open.qobuz.com/album/0060255736891 Example: I didn't really follow his work, but he really was creating some new music. So much jazz influence on example track. RIP D'Angelo (@51)
  13. I have not listened in a few days, I think I overcompensated today. The End Continues by Spinal Tap (2025) https://album.link/wkfchxst380hj Example: A little croaky, but i think it is suppose to be. And fun. Winding down for a bit - Sweet for K by Tsuyoshi Yamamoto (2024) https://album.link/4gr3x3f9djhbs Example: Overall a lovely recording, each tune is presented really well. Taken as a whole it does become a little samey, a touch more variety track to track would have been nice. My first Tsuyoshi, and I like it. Still have Hardly Strictly on my mind Billy Strings - EP by Billy Strings (2016) https://open.qobuz.com/album/hys0x0fa5vicc Example: Just an EP so not too long... But fun. and just a Blue Note - of note. That’s Where It’s At by Stanley Turrentine (1962) https://album.link/nctnpggrt7ckg Example:
  14. This seems very HC https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/147080381/agari-the-worlds-first-ai-powered-reverse-sear-cooker?ref=alokfx $1000 steak blast furnace... nice Perfect Ribeye in 23 Minutes - And if your guest wants to eat too, they can wait another 23 minutes.. If you have more than two people for supper, you can buy a convenient 4-pack of Asari's. They only require 4x the counter space. d-_-b
  15. As a wise man once said: ”Qobuz was always the answer.”
  16. 38 drivers not including the additional subs in the back. That is a lot of dust catchers...
  17. Not For Lack Of Trying by dodie (2025) https://open.qobuz.com/album/ukgy6v7yfn6tb Example: Second time through the album, and like it better than the first time. Released the same day as queen T above. This will have staying power in my queue.
  18. The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift (2025) https://album.link/6czzqws7wv6p3 Example: The internet needs more old white guy opinions of music that has nothing to do with them. So why not one more? I think it is overall a nice album. Very few musicians involved, this is a pure Max Martin and Shellback joint. As Rick Beato would point out, there are 100s of tracks per song. Having this dense of a production I hope goes away pretty soon. There are some funny moments and some poignant moments. Not going into rotation, but not mad at it.
