Older (and Wiser) by Lizzy McAlpine (2024) https://album.link/wgwhc8wnv2w2n Example: I really appreciate this release. At Just over an hour and 19 total tracks this explores a lot of things that she wants to say. I appreciate the production, close mic work like normal, but I was surprised at least 3 times by the choices made, and I am not surprised easily by music.

hehe - that is why it was funny... :} I'm a funny guy - just ask me... To which my normal reply is - "I'm funny Damn It!"

I wanted to post an update from the weekend earlier, but I was waiting for the group photo... Needless to say it was a great day. There was a lot of driving for myself, I just live too far away from everything these days. But the weather was perfect and it was a great day of sharing and having a lovely walk around the lake. Engaging people along the way to share our mission. We invited two other organizations, Living with Conviction, and Civil Survival, to help share their stories and support as well. We ended up just under $13,000! from our $15k goal. Thanks again and with much gratitude to all. Cheers - Mikey

Thanks again everyone for the support this year in making this happen (NFLO). We are at 71% of our $15,000 goal, crossing the $10 mark, which is amazing. We finally got the t-shirts in for the participants, and we are making all the last minute plans for the walk on Saturday. Of course I live very far away on a volcano, so it will be an all day affair for myself. Just wanted to give this thread one more bump for anyone who was looking to support us. Many thanks and cheers - da mikey.. https://givebutter.com/WalkforBelonging2025/michaelmaddock { hoping for good weather }

Okay a new discovery and I may get a little obsessed. A Podcast that is about a comic strip. Repeating that - A Podcast (Audio) about a Comic Strip (visual). 9 Chickweed Rage https://www.9chickweedrage.com/ About: In 1993, Brooke McEldowney began writing and drawing the newspaper comic strip 9 Chickweed Lane. Nearly 30 years later, it's still going strong. For some dumb reason, Brooke Dillman and Jeff Drake read the comic strip, even though it only makes them angry. This is their podcast, certainly one of the worst ideas for a podcast ever: a podcast about a newspaper comic strip that (as far as they know) no one reads. This is 9 CHICKWEED RAGE.

Nights Are Forever by England Dan & John Ford Coley (1976) https://album.link/b89d3t9vgvhjk Example: Oh that 90's fashion... :} Yeah we are on the lighter side of music. But production value was off the charts.

No one by that nom de plume in my circles. But if they know me, I will certainly allow them to pour me a beverage. - cheers Back to 'training'. Oh and while I met my goal, Communities of Belonging has not...

Thanks for all the generosity.. I guess I should move the goalposts... :}

First, I want to say many humble thanks for all of your support in the past. Our non-profit, Communities of Belonging, are so happy to be having our 4th annual Walk for Belonging as a part of the national Second Chance Month. April 26, 2025, Green Lake, Seattle... As with many non-profits, we are always struggling with funds to keep things running. And sad to say that our mission is under direct attack. Grants that have helped us in the past have been cut or eliminated. Our message of "We Believe in a World where Everyone Belongs" is not supported under the current administration. We have an opportunity to open another house, and are actively working on how we can support the trans community. We are truly trying to remove all the barriers that we can to help those that need as second chance in life. My team page and walk info on GiveButter - https://givebutter.com/WalkforBelonging2025/michaelmaddock Happy to talk about our mission and any questions you may have about our organization... Cheers and thanks, Mikey

The Gospel Of The Blues by Sister Rosetta Tharpe (2003) https://album.link/gj4wgq3qv0qgj Example: 18 Decca tracks from 1938-1948. Recording tech suffers a bit, but it does not overshadow Sister's playing and singing prowess.
