  1. Because of ^^ ARBORESQUE by Artemis (2025) https://album.link/43rqkf2zqcx6s Example: They deliver the goods, and being on Blue Note does not hurt at all. This will be in rotation for a bit.
  2. Thankful by Natalie Cole (1977) https://album.link/wmxqjwcnt0mcj Example: I didn't know this part of her career. I found her in the late 80s and listened to the late 90s. I have missed a lot. Amazing release in the middle of disco area that is so full of soul and great production.
  3. I seem to be on KEXP algorithm now. Intense looping, but I like it.
  4. Cheers Sir Brent... And I was just thinking about you today to get together for a beverage. Happy Birthday! Ooh hey - I added a spoiler - intriguing .. no?
  5. Oops.. Happy belated birthday Rob! cheers..
  6. Even In Arcadia by Sleep Token (2025) https://album.link/wrrmhmkp0rqpq Example: Second listen through this album, before I go back to Copland. It is a good album. But listening to the album, which is what I do, it does become a bit samey for me. Any individual song hits pretty hard. But song after song they seem formulaic. Start slow, with some soft vocals, transition into some rapping and harder bits, then head into the screaming section and then break it back down before the end. Works great for one track, but not as an album for me. Production and playing is still great.
  7. {also a reminder that the February release - ARBORESQUE - is still in my queue}
  8. Day two: Copland: Appalachian Spring, Lincoln Portrait & Billy the Kid Suite by Henry Fonda, London Symphony Orchestra, Aaron Copland (1988) https://album.link/5msv0g08sjqc2 Example: A recording that I know very well. Bought it during the Columbia House days, and played it a lot. But has been many a year. A touch ironic that these recordings were all with the LSO. What's wrong with the 'merikan bands Aaron? I don't blame him, the LSO sounds wonderful on these recordings. These pressings were good not great in the 80s, but it is good to hear that the recordings are great.
  9. Copland Conducts Copland - Expanded Edition (Fanfare for the Common Man, Appalachian Spring, Old American Songs (Complete), Rodeo: Four Dance Episodes) by Aaron Copland (1988) https://open.qobuz.com/album/0884977763522 (just qobuz) Example: I was thinking the other day, that I have not been listening to enough Copland (no not Cop Land). I have always liked his work and have many recordings, but I don't have my system setup right now. So I loaded up my queue and started listening.
  10. Simple Sunday bake. Not as much oven spring as I would have wished for but it should eat.
  11. Ah that is why when I pushed play yesterday on my PC that the music started playing on my phone... I was very confused. So not a bug but a feature! thx
  12. ^^ this - way different than the album cover would leave me to believe. Also different based on the merkin album cover. Anyway... - earlier - ABBA by ABBA (1975) https://album.link/fptvwf6qp87bb Example: 50yo release. Wanting to celebrate a past Eurovision winners. And test out the new satellite service for music streaming.
  13. Since they seem to just be speakers in glasses - the person sitting right next to you will benefit as well. win-win
  14. Cheers Chris-- Happy Birthday.
  15. Expensive Shit by Fela Kuti (1975) https://album.link/wnq0mtcswj66r Example: Influential 50yo two track album. Enjoyed the groove.
  16. Live at the Leather Fly by Butthole Surfers (2025) https://album.link/zzrp2dwdc0rjm Example: Just relaxing with my latte...
  17. Wild and Clear and Blue by I’m With Her (2025) https://album.link/kkwxgxxchdbdn Example: Finally released today. First listen was at 2am before bed. Did not disappoint. Happy to have more I'm with Her music.
