  1. longer cords for new office furniture: 2 Dlink DUB-H 7-Port USB hubs, 2 Tripp Lite 10ft USB cables, 2 Generic 25ft Ethernet cables, 2 APC 10foot 11outlet surge strips, 4 Cables-To-Go vga male-to-male cables. And 2 WD Caviar SE16 640GB hard drives (awesome new 320 GB platter design), and a second Thermaltake Blax hard drive docking station ...office rig getting closer to finished, slowly but surely.....
  2. IDK what enable is, but dont put Dynamat Extreme on your headphones. If your going to put a dampening product, use Second Skin Sludge or Spectrum. Much better products; I've used all of them. (albeit in cars, not headphones ) Sludge is the thicker version of spectrum, and you can literally grab a dab of it with a glove and slop it on stuff, or take your time and use a paint brush or similar. For headphones, spectrum would be best imo, since it is thinner, you would paint it on in thin coats, many times, like you would a lacquer. http://www.secondskinaudio.com/sound-deadener/spectrum.php
  3. I recommend Indestructible, as it has tunes not often covered by others. IDK if you do vinyl or not, but Music Matters will be releasing a 45 of it, remastered by Steve Hoffman. Hopefully in 2008.
  4. My dad and brother-in-law went to the caps game. My dad said it was the loudest sporting event he had ever been to. By far.
  5. used Nugget Audio Betta 22 (thanks socrates63!) 12 pack of Mountain Dew The amp is for my office. New furniture arrives Monday, so the amp will make the journey to Rockville Pike on Tuesday or Wednesday. I hooked it up in my basement for the weekend. Sounds DAMN good. Seems a little more aggressive with rock/metal than the HP4, but that was a quick knee-jerk impression with a completely different DAC than my bedroom rig (Pico, as opposed to Bel Canto Dac3). I can literally see the perplexed faces of my coworkers right now "whats that thing?"..."headphone amp"..."you need that big thing for a pair of headphones?...you're crazy"... such is life

  13. Despite the sniper shootings a few years ago, Silver Spring is not too bad, and is where I'm at. It has suburban parts and more urban type parts, and you can get into DC via the red line on the metro. Pretty easy metro ride.
  14. I've never heard either, but want both. Reading this thread reminded me of a bumper sticker I saw yesterday: Sex is alot like pizza: when its good, ITS REALLY GOOD... when its bad, its still pretty good! I think I'd probably love either one
  15. I can't give advice as to where to live, but download the DC metro map (subway). Try to avoid anything near the 'green line'. I don't know if its still considered a bad area, but you probably want to avoid Anacostia.
