I'm still wondering if the fabled T2 is really worthy of the almost mythical status it garners. If the schematics are available surely it shouldn't be too difficult to build one, and be a fuck site cheaper to boot.

Ack!!! I hadn't thought of that. I was blabbing my own opinion but I do work for a Sony company making games. I just never thought of myself as Sony

Well yeah. Along with the Bluray it's also a DVD, SACD player, media center, web browser, video player, Wi-Fi etc. And it can update itself. Much better value than any stand alone player plus digital and optical audio out. Slap a bluetooth keyboard/mouse on it and you have a pretty powerful media computer with a decent amount of storage. What's not to like. Even without Bluray it's pretty damn good IMO.

I hope nobody buys them, and then have a driver fail. 6500 is taking the piss.
