Nope, an old one I picked up cheap from one of the upgraders.

Went to the Zoo today but there were very few animals outside so a lot of indoor pictures with a 300 f4, not the best lens for that type of environment. Bao Bao hiding behind his lunch Bao Bao at ISO 10000 through dirty glass Bug eyed rodent of some sort Cardinal eating off of the frozen pond.

I found it pretty useless and gave it to my admin. I think she gave it to her kids.

Okay, where are the representative pictures of bicycle parts and liquor bottles? How is the focus speed?
-
Yeah I will use the LensAlign system when I get a L Plate so I can set it up on a tripod. Should be able to get it right if it is not too far out.

SOOC (cropped) Samples. I seem to have front focus issues with this Sigma 35. 2200 ISO 5000 ISO ISO 10000

Really thinking about going with DXO Optics first before sticking with PS. Not really a fan of Adobe. Quick 12,800 ISO shot in a darkish room.

Got the gear today only to find out none of the software I have PS CS5, Lightroom 4 and Aperture can be updated to work with the D750 RAW files.
-
Maybe, but i doubt it. The Sony sensors are where it is at.

Bought a D750, Sigma 35 f1.4 Art, Sigma 85f1.4, Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VRII and a Nikon 60 f2.8 micro. Canon bodies/sensors just are not what I am looking for now. Will eventually buy a d810 for portraits, back up body, etc at the wedding.

It would not have been as bad but they allowed people to leave the warehouse with items before purchasing so the first group grabbed everything and took it out into the store to go through to decide what they actually wanted. Everything else they would just leave out there and employees or other customers would pick it up. I actually started taking stuff out of the hoarders' piles and really pissed off some hipsters but I got a few things to make it worth my time.

All the fucking hippies that camped out cleared the place out before I got in. Nothing left.

Now finished waiting in the line to get in the door and I am in the longer line to actually get into the garage sale.
-
At the REI Garage Sale in Dallas. Line wraps all the way around the building just to get your ticket telling you which 20 minutes slot you get to come back and shop. Nuts.

Yeah, I would shoot raw so it would not matter much with JPEG color rendition. I really just wanted to see if people were less orangish now in Nikonworld. If I could have bought a d750 in a D810 body I would have probably walked out with that today.

Went to the only large camera store I could find down here in Dallas to try out all the new bodies. They let me use each camera and pull up the results on my laptop. While I was not originally thinking about it, the D810 ended up impressing me the most except for color rendition. Massive Dynamic Range made it so nice to expose for highlights and bring the shadows up. A bit more noise at high ISO than the 5D mk III but the 5d pics could not be pushed anywhere near as far the 810. I really liked images from the D750 but did not find the body to be in the same league as the other two. Still don't think I prefer any of them to my RX-1 overall but they each would be fantastic cameras for the collection. As I have no real lenses laying around I could really go either way at this point and will probably grab one today before the rebates end. Just not sure which one....

Looks like clearance time on the Nikon Coolpix A. Seems to be a decent camera, especially for $429 instead of $1099. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/936177-REG/nikon_coolpix_a_digital_camera.html

Almost forgot. Have fun.

Happy Birthday Jacob.

Yeah, kind of the opposite that I thought was going to happen based upon week one of the championship. I think we can all be very thankful that Brent lost again and again and call the season a success.

I am actually talking to a guy about a used 5D MK III that I might get just to get going while I wait for the mk IV. If that falls through I am thinking a D750 with all its advancements may be a better purchase than the 5D mk III new.
-
I have the viewfinder but I really never use it. I keep it velcro'd to the strap but never find I need it.
-
Plus the lenses. Everyone I know that has a digital Leica has ended up hating it. Seems to be really strange issues with them all. I found the Sony RX-1 just about perfect for a travel camera.

With all the rebates coming to a close this week I am trying to decide on a D750 w/ 24-120 lens and a 5D mk III body which would be about $200 less than the Nikon with the kit lens. I am leaning towards the Canon as I found a few basic lenses laying around for the Canon to get back into the swing of things, but the upcoming 5D mk IV in April is making me reluctant to buy this one right before a new one is announced.
