It's possible it got deleted during a recent catastrophic upheaval in the ranks. Too bad so sad.

The Live Music Thread
Wonderful little underground concert tonight. Went to see Bent Knee CD release party (they're from Boston, but got signed to Cuneiform, a DC prog label), got introduced to a couple of indie bands I now like. But back to Bent Knee -- oh, my were they fantastic. Proggy. Very proggy. So much proggy. Wow proggy. Harsh transitions, they'll be playing one thing at one moment, then take a hard 90 degree turn and be playing something entirely orthogonal the next. Lots of spacey, lots of pastoral, lots of rock, all shaken and stirred into a glorious cocktail of music. I think I might have to go up to upper Baltimore tomorrow night to see them again. They were that good. And a cover (I am sitting here giggling over how great this music is): And also I need to figure out if the bassist really dug me. (She introduced herself to me.) I definitely dug her. Or perhaps she was just high, check her out, playing this shit seriously. And the lead singer has this weird little vibrato to her voice that I kinda really dig

And now what did you do TODAY?
I'm in a rather largely densely packed cluster of indie hipster snob douches. I think it statistically unlikely that none of them are gay. They are required by geography to be well-to-do. I'm saying, you have a test audience right here. I'm sure they'll recluster in the future. There's also one really cute blonde female, and several brunettes, so I suspect that at least part of the audience is straight, but...who knows. Okay, two of the girls just kissed. So cute.

I finally got the replacement guitar this week, and he included the strap this time, but he put it in the pocket where the packet with the cable, tools, extra springs, etc. are, and that packet was missing. Axe Palace -- don't you ever fucking do business with him.

Well that's just silly Background -- on top of looking like a shoop -- there's a whole controversy surrounding 24 fret vs 22 fret guitars -- there is a whole school of thought who feel that the optimal placement for the neck pickup is at the 24th fret (and they're not wrong...but only because it's entirely subjective, not because of their usual stated reasons), hence 22 fret guitars, but with 24 fret guitars, they usually try to place the neck pickup as close to the neck as possible. Eastwood Custom ^ are not even trying. - Post what you're watching
