  1. Classic Swans -- alternating between dirge-like and mysterious and dirge-like tantric and raucous.
  2. I haven't listened yet, I was too busy making notes on which ones from last week I wanted to get and in what priority. EDIT: Just started -- I can tell you it's 2 hours long.
  3. That doesn't sound like a fair trade at all -- couldn't they mix some morphine in or something?
  4. Swans at least had that "indie hipster" cred to them, so Agalloch was the more shocking to me...but I was still surprised.
  5. Agalloch, The Serpent & the Sphere on First Listen (!) Also, the new Swans, for those of you who know who they are. Someone's in a dark mood over at NPR.
  6. The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl)
  7. Did you make enough for the whole class? Om nom nom nom nom
  8. Mmmm...Kyuss...
  9. Damon Albarn, Everyday Robots -- So. If Blur is an ensemble that contains Damon Albarn, and Gorillaz is Damon Albarn in virtual disguise, then what would an album by Damon Albarn actual sound like? It would sound exactly like this.
  10. Chicken, spinach and garlic sausage from Wegmans. Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk
  11. Yeezh, remind me never to work out in the morning.
  12. Inventions live stream (Explosions in the Sky + Eluvium, so pretty much post-rock^2)
  13. Agreed. And she did ask for an awful lot.
  14. 48 hours to go, and barely over half funded...I don't think she's going to make it. Imogen Heap's Mi.Mu Glove
  15. Yeah, my ex got a XV Crosstrek, that may very well be my next car. She's extremely happy with it, it's a really nice size, I want to say it's Tiguan sized (> Golf, < Touareg). If you want smaller, just get the Impreza, it's largely the same car.
  16. I don't understand the aversion to non-sedans, hatchbacks and wagons are just so much more utilitarian. [/rant] Subaru has airbags freakin' everywhere -- they're famous for that. You may want to look at their sedan offerings. The Impreza (even non-WRX) is a pretty zippy little car.
  17. Have you driven a Subaru yet? Dave bought an Outback because it felt nicer (read: not plastic everywhere) than the competition several years ago.
  18. tUnE-yArDs Nikki Nack Brian Eno & Karl Hyde, Someday World
  19. Kishi Bashi, Lighght Pacifika, Amor Planeta also on First Listen
  20. You're right, I meant Focus (including that's the car my sister got).
  21. I don't know, that's why I want to hear it for myself.
  22. Anyone know anything about the Aune?
  23. Yeah, that, too; I cued up a whole bunch of First Listen stuff.
  24. about to switch to new Lykke Li on First Listen
