  1. Workaholism? That's what my dad did, more or less (he left me alone with 2 sisters and a mom). I was alright, though, it's not so bad. It'll be great for you.
  2. http://us.moo.com/merrymusic/ Minutes of fun! Uh...warning, the bass adds up. I just felt wind on my face.
  3. It's a good time for selfies.
  4. Happy birthday, o blackest hearted one. (Gothic party favour noise) Beautiful, heavy, distortion-laden black heart.
  5. Unholy carp, is that real?!?!?
  6. From the "Is the Remaster Better?" thread: That said, thanks for posting that information -- I'm always looking for high-res music that pertains to my tastes more than the usual high-fi recordings, even though I often enjoy those, too, sometimes I just want to listen to something different what I want to listen to.
  7. One of the nice things about SoundCloud is the uploader (usually the music maker or someone associated with them) has to look at the waveform every time they visit the page, so if it's just a big swath of grey or orange, then they are reminded on a daily basis how much they suck. Look at this crap. I'm sure there are even worse examples.
  8. 36X Nick Cave -- a Russian Nick Cave tribute. Quite compatible, actually, a lot of Russians have that same low drawl and a fondness for the dark folk and cabaret. Don't know how good the translations are, my Russian is a little too rusty.
  9. The Dear Hunter, Migrant -- mostly somber indie prog. Dusty like.

  16. Stax SR-003 Mk 2 gives you a great taste of the electrostatic "house sound", if you can get the positioning right.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqx5xmNsnvU I think if she's the question, the answer is yes. Then again...
  18. More of this (they've added to it, including my submission of "Where the WIld Roses Grow", which falls under the umbrella of 'death folk', I think). Lots of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. I don't think Lena Horne counts as folk, though. And there is some crap, but for the most part, I'm a-likin' it.
  19. He sounds like a Santarchist.
  20. The early part is pretty trippy:
