  1. NY Times interactive view of damage to Japan What the hell is that from? Amish and rifle-toting bikini-clad bimbos? Must see.
  2. Night Stalker is good stuff.
  3. I think perhaps I don't fucking care. I've never been one to go along with the consensus.
  4. One more: MSB. (I like MSB -- they're hackers [they used to have a mod for adding a unencrypted digital output to DVD players so that you could use their DACs], and they cater to the modder community [they're DACs were very popular with people who liked to modify their DACs].)
  5. Hope you feel better soon, Dan.
  6. The lack of funneh makes me think that no.
  7. [sarcasm]Really? How could I have missed that? [/sarcasm] I've alredy made two jokes about it, this was my third.
  8. You might be a little young for the Greek reference.
  9. My condolences to you Ken, for losing a friend, and I will quaff one tonight in sympathy.
  10. ...or have I?
  11. What bonus, candy shrapnel? Well, at least say, 'poo'. 'Pooh' was a fictitious talking bear. Unless that's some sort of bizarre British/Canadian/Hithertounknownian spelling.[/super-pedant]
  12. No, I'm pretty sure Anal is Greek, although the movement might be Swiss.
  13. Yeah, you're a shoe-in.
  14. Still haven't decided for myself. I mean, it's not like they can stop me. I've been unknowingly feeding my cats the recalled food for months, and they are not showing any of the symptoms described. I've contacted the shelter to see if they'll take it, but I want them to know, because I can see how it might be a concern with recent rescues, where the nuitritional state of the cat may not be known. I was also thinking of donating an equivalent amount of non-recalled food (which kind of renders moot the coupon), just so the shelter could mix it up.
  15. [pedant]It's not a cat![/pedant] Me: Cat (yes, really) food, to replace the recalled food. They actually responded and said they don't recommend I donate it, for the same reason that they recalled it.
  16. Yeah, I would give it a couple more weeks. Hopefully you'll be able to pick it up locally. Total Wine does special orders, you know.
  17. Re: Heresy -- do you get Weyerbacher at all in Florida -- it would seem odd if you do and you didn't get the Heresy, otherwise the supply problem makes sense. Re: price -- I have no idea, I don't remember what I paid, I didn't buy it by the case, though, and I remember it not being cheap. I'll check Total Wine the next time I'm in there. Speaking of checking -- those Sam Adams glasses weren't what I said, they were US$15/pair. Either I was hallucinating, or they were on sale.
  18. Are you sure you wouldn't rather receive the anal? I think even your dogs would have an opinion on that.
  19. Well, you'll have to listen for yourself and tell us.
  20. You're just trying to wind us up.
  21. What is that (the KBS things)?
  22. Yeah, I remember you saying that. I don't mind it, but I understand it's a perfectly legitimate criticism, if subjective. In fact, if you hadn't said that, I don't think I would have had that exact same criticism of something else I had (the nitrous-injected stout at Russian River, I think).
  23. Yeah, I remember that feeling, but now having seen it for $6.99 at several places, I refuse to pay more, but yeah, it's easily the best US$7/bomber beer. Easily. Love it. Me: also had a DFH Indian Brown and a Raisin d'Etre from tap. And yes, I should probably be posting in the "I'm a wee bit drunk" thread. Good thing my coworker was driving.
  24. Probably because I mentioned I was recommended Malbecs, so got some good advice, and the power of suggestion, and all... Watch lovers (Mike, Jeff, et al) -- do you laugh your evil laugh every time you go to eBay and pull up your Watch List? What a totally appropriately named anything.
