  1. I did. In my head, you were channeling tADitW, so just in case you weren't aware of it, I thought I'd share. blah blah logical conclusion blah blah
  2. Grains. <-- vegetarian zombie

    Canjam 2010.

Duggeh -- I'm sorry you wasted the weight/volume to bring the Tokio -- it's just not very good, and one can get it here. Unless of course you're into those extreme beers, in which case you'll have to tell me how it fares, because all I can taste is ALCOHOL.
  4. Can I get on the waiting list before you put the extras on eBay?
  5. You do realize you're talking to people from Florida, Texas, and Scandinavia, right?
  6. It doesn't? I realize it doesn't require a standard 2-year cell phone contract, but doesn't it still require some sort of contract?!?!?
  7. I'd definitely be up for that.
  8. The 6-song EP, or something else? Has it finally leaked? Must. Hear. Nao. Yesterday.
  9. Sounds like a business opportunity -- headphone drapes.
  10. Yeah, I don't have that problem at all (am using a Audio Alchemy DDE for input). Mine's at about a quarter turn, but if I'm listening to an MFSL disk or something (or the other extreme -- something terribly brickwalled), then I'll need to turn it a smidgeon, but since it's at the office (I.E. I don't usually listen to MFSL or metal at the office), this is almost never an issue. 1600 must run pretty "hot".
  11. No, sorry, I wasn't responding to the whole power switch discussion, was referring to this: See that little knob right below the power switch in Nate's pic? That's the level adjustment. I realize it's not convenient, but I haven't found I change them much, once I set the to the appropriate value.
  12. Aw, c'mon, that dude looks good no matter what you photoshop on his head.
  13. Yup, those.
  14. Switches? Mine have an input level continuous knob.
  15. I do. Think red apple in green light -- it turns mostly black, but in your mind it's still red, because we can usually see past "distortions" like that. It's the same thing with audio -- we can usually hear past, for example, cheap car stereos to the music underneath to know that there are frequencies missing, only because we know what the music is supposed to sound like. I suspect what is going on is that it's letting enough information through to let Cynric's "mind's ear" hear what's going on, but it's still wrong. Like the GS-1000. But that's based entirely on hearsay, so don't go repeating that as if I have opinions of the AD2000, which I haven't heard myself.
  16. Now you tell him.
  17. Sarcasm Detector -- for realsies
  18. I have a pair, I know what they look like. And I just don't find them that dorky looking.
  19. Yeah, Patton Oswalt is a genius -- thanks for recognizing the reference.
  20. US cage fighter Jarrod Wyatt rips training partner Taylor Powell's heart out while still alive -- yeezh. The explanation is a combination of being high on shrooms and...oh, who cares? Yeezh.
  21. Incorrect. Side dish should be on the side. -tini. What's next -- french fries on your burger? Why don't you just mix it all up in a bowl lay it in a trough in front of you?
  22. I understand you were talking about the looks, I remain perplexed. The Shures are basically typical design headphones -- not too unlike the Sony MDR-V6/-7506 -- in looks, and black. The Triports -- I can spot them a mile away, and they look...toyish. Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion, I just completely disagree. Must be an across-the-pond thing.
