  1. Well...given my/our history, your assumption -- however incorrect -- was not entirely unwarranted. I, of all people, probably need [sincere][/sincere] tags (the counterpoint to the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tags).
  2. Oh, so you didn't get to #10? One of my favorites.
  3. 24. 14 was very difficult for me -- took me several hours.
  4. Jesus this game is addictive
  5. Nice impressions; I like fast/impactful/detailed. Which Rega?
  6. Yes, that is what I meant -- extant DAC now, upgrade DAC later.
  7. If I understand it correctly: amp now, DAC later? Makes perfect sense.
  8. Cat food Kitty litter Kind of like buying tobacco and ashtrays at the same time.
  9. I know, but its strength is in the accuracy of its ripping, not in the accuracy of its burning. I suspect that in burning, it's no more accurate than anything else, but I'll gladly be proven wrong. And I believe I was one of the people to mention its burning capabilities, so that wasn't meant to be a slight against EAC -- I use it primarily as well.
  10. Except that the question was specifically towards burning, not ripping.
  11. How is that any different from voiding your warranty?
  12. They probably don't understand the concept of "furries", neither. Obviously: scientists.
  13. Are you using the same source? If so, wouldn't that imply that it's not the input nor gain stages?
  14. That 3910 isn't a steal, but it's a fair price, I think. I've been extremely happy with my SACDMods-modded Denon, and their prices are much more competitive that Modwright Exemplar et al. You can get a 3930 brand new factory sealed for ~US$1K (that was with 5 seconds of Googling, I'm sure you can do better), plus the SACDMods mods will double your price, will still be well within your price range. I think Hirsch has a Modwright -modded Denon for his source, and he's extremely happy with it, I think. (And I mention it because his can of choice is the R10.)
  15. Malkovich malkovich.
  16. I hate ironing.
  17. Actually, the DVD-V spec allows for up to 24/96 stereo, and depending on the software you buy, you could burn it that way. But computer -> external DAC -> stereo is a much better solution.
  18. Oh, I know how, we just aren't set up to do so (no deck, no patio to speak of). Oh, and no grill.
  19. If you're a Mac guy; if you're a PC guy then discWelder is probably the way to go.
  20. It's the right time of the year for it (my ex did all the grilling). I miss grilled food.
  21. I believe he means that thing that looks like the tops to a very short pair of overalls that are under her breasts. I believe that's the top to a highly stylized pair of overalls. Or it just looks like that, and it's just part of her dress (the "girdle" part). I loved that movie.
  22. Just finished a home-made chilimac.
  23. Wouldn't playing a DTS track via digital out, and inputting it into a processor to see if it decodes properly be a good test as well, doesn't DTS require bit-perfection to work?
