If you had to downgrade your entire rig to $500 ...
grawk replied to jinp6301's topic in Miscellaneous
Ooh, actually, the rig I listen to the absolute most is also under $500 afore mentioned behringer, plus airmotiv 4s. I have a mixer in between, but it's just a passive volume control, and the speakers have volume knobs. -

Oh, I probably am not keeping the grado rig, I enjoy my grados, but the ATH-W10VTGs and JH13s are really all I need for headphones. I just bought them because I got a phenomenal deal on them, and I hadn't heard the RS2s. Same for the Glite. -

Actually, I may be able to add a speaker rig to that combo, and STILL be under $500. Realistic STA-111 and Minimus 7 speakers. I'm probably within $50 of $500 including them. -

I have a rig that's pretty close now. Used RS2s, Used Glite, and Behringer DEQ2496. I paid less than $500 for the 3 together. -

tested what will potentially be my new commute. It's a really nice drive. I could handle that every day, I think.

7 cups of water to 1 cup of grounds, medium grind (like french press grind) mix thoroughly, then let it sit 12-36 hours strain through a coffee filter (I use the gold filter from my zojirushi thermal carafe brewer, but any filter should work) refrigerate

My zojirushi is still hot as hell after 4 hrs. I have to pour it into another cup to cool down to where I can drink it.

get a good thermos, it'll keep it hot all day. The zojirushi and nissan thermoses are amazing What upped my consumption was cold brewing coffee. Iced coffee is crack.

The roasters choice coffees are often more challenging than the samplers. The samplers are to get you hooked, the roasters choice clubs are for once you want to stretch a bit.
-
Actually, I just went with the roaster's choice package. I trust him.

http://www.oldbisbeeroasters.com/Coffees-in-Season-s/1.htm From today's coffees: The Papua New Guinea Peaberry Ethiopian Washed Sidamo are the ones I order regularly. Brazilian Fazenda Aurea is one I'm ordering today to try, because it sounds interesting.

I assume it was mutual. He can go back to making MUCH more money owning the london knights, and the caps can find a coach that knows how to coach a defensive team that also doesn't have to bench ovechkin. I predict that might involve a new GM, too. I like the Hartley rumors.

That was a hell of a series. Painful in the end, but I'll pull for the red white and blue in the east and the yotes in the west. I'll have to pull for the yotes for the cup tho, that's a team that deserves it.

I saw a couple of cobra or cobra replicas driving around today. Lots of people showing the love.

Knucks, start a turntable.fm channel, then you can do a show from home whenever you want.

The man who was responsible for both my car obsession and my chili obsession. The Omni GLH-S is the coolest car ever made. That said, I want a classic cobra 427 side oiler replica (with real brakes and suspension).

I'm potentially going to be driving 35000 or more miles a year.
