My understanding is a lot of banks make almost everyone AVP. SMBC is a japanese bank, and they're also fairly well known for not having the best pay scale. But, 20-30% bonus and 4 weeks vacation. I'd probably negotiate for more vacation, too.

Turns out it's BofA in Jersey City. They're a little low on salary, but with a decent bonus. I went ahead and had them submit me, but we'll see. A pay cut to move to Jersey City to work for BofA isn't the most thrilling thing ever

the linksys e2000 I bought showed up with dd-wrt on it. It was a flakey build tho, so I upgraded to 2.4sp2, and redid my wireless network today. Hopefully it's stable monday...
