The analog thread.
And maybe you decide what you like based on what you read and not what you hear? Or arbitrarily decide. Or have new gear syndrome. Maybe you should stop writing about minute details heard or not, and just enjoy the music, and not worry about the gear so much.

The method I've seen for hopbacking is a challenge, because it requires some fairly specific hardware. But in combination with a wort chiller, it is fairly easy and quick once assembled.

I'm looking into building a mixmasher, right now, too. There's a big gap between "too small" and "too big" in terms of motors...I'm thinking of just going to harbor freight, buying a cheap drill, and using that.

What did you do today?
We used mother-ease diapers for the first 3, but the 4th was in disposables, because the cloth ones made her rashy. We never used a changing table after #1. Just a pad. Kept the little blue foldout pads stashed in the cars, diaper bag, etc. As to what I did today, I put a spigot and "easy mash" screen on my stock pot to ease all-grain brewing.

I'm brewing the chocolate double stout again tonight. They were low on liquid malt extract so it's 7 lbs of amber extract, 2 lbs of dried amber extract, and 2 lbs of a stout grain mix from the lhbs. 2 oz centenial and 1 oz of fuggles for the 60 minute boil, another oz of fuggles for the final 15. I'll oak it when it goes in the keg.
