I use mine with plex for movies, but I don't do any video capture. I use dvi to vga instead of hdmi, because the hdmi input gets more easily confused on my tv.

I have no plans to shovel I can walk to the grocery store, and I have 4wd if I really need to go anywhere, but I'll let mother nature and my south facing driveway fix it.
