Have you tried an external keyboard on your ipad mini? The iPad pro is a great machine, but it's not better for web than the regular ipad, and there are lots of keyboard options available for any ipad. I have traveled using just an ipad and bluetooth keyboard, and have been reasonably satisfied with it.
