I own 2 vizios, and am pleased as punch with them. I bought them as refurbs from woot, but if I were buying a new bigger tv, I'd be tempted to get whichever vizio they had I was looking for size wise at costco, and giving it a shot, at the very least.

It's been a long time since I've seen a new tv where the contrast and black levels were anything approaching unacceptable.

Beyond that, I'd rather deal with amazon for a return to any big box retailer...

I'd go lcd anymore. Weighs less, bigger screen. I'd be surprised if picture quality on either wasn't spectacular.

The pico definitely can be used with an airport express , you just have to pay someone more talented than me to replace the audio board inside the AEX with the pico boards, and put it in a different case, probably with an antenna. Otherwise, it can't, because the usb port on the AEX is for printers only.

There isn't a way to go optical to usb without a computer, unfortunately. It's a usb host vs usb client issue. Just because a criminals and lawyers usually go hand in hand, a criminal can't get you out of a speeding ticket without a lawyer...

Are you using it as a source, or plugging directly into the xlr outs?

the wadia is only useful with a dac. I think an appletv is a better choice than the wadia, personally.
