  1. The annual sale at the north face outlet in berkeley had some amazing prices. Not reasonable. Amazing. The outlet is normally reaosnable.
  2. I haven't heard the 60s and 80s. The 225s with flats aren't fatiguing or bright, and definitely don't lack bass. They're my favorite can under $200, and can be had for $150ish used.

Someone got turned on by the wrong part of ian's album covers
  4. WD40 is great for cleaning guns. But it's basically diesel. You definitely have to clean the residue when you're done.
  5. I work at home, and have my full rig here in my office. Speakers, headphones, balanced amp, mac mini, etc.
  6. I've already got a 1st gen nano and a shuffle and a palmtop and a motorola q and a laptop and a mac mini, and well, you get the point I just don't listen mobile-ly enough yet to justify. And i'm hoping apple comes out with a bigger tablet.
  7. I'm waiting for the ipod to rise to the top of my priority list
  8. Ah, ok. Well, signal works with quite a few palmtops, not just the touch. The touch just happens to be the best one. I use the nokia770 with some success with signal.
  9. Signal is only useful for itunes. And why banish itunes never having used it? It's the best media management software I've ever used.
  10. Doug's apple scripts can handle the lossless/mp3 issue without any problems. Considering how database driven the ipod etc are, it's no surprise you have to use a software interface. But is it that hard really to just use itunes for syncing? Personally, I just use itunes for everything. I like the interface. But I don't use winders.
  11. opamps are one thing, new technology flash ram, etc is another. Those parts do come down quickly. And yes, buy a million opamps and you'll pay pennies on the dollar for them compared to mouser price.
  12. That's a year ago. Prices come down pretty quick in the quantities apple buys in.
  13. The problem is the limited radio spectrum. They have to make the highest density use of the spectrum they can, because of the sheer number of wireless devices these days.
  14. Blackberry's network is a lot more robust and prevalent than even edge, tho.
  15. Price is as much about managing demand as anything else. If they drop the price $100, they probably couldn't keep up with demand.
  16. Just in case someone needs a mini to use with a duet
  17. I think the ES2 case looks better. I like wood + satin brushed metal. Not a big fan of the lettering on either tho.
  18. Why not just put the 3 500gb 7200s as a raid3 set?
  19. Joan Jett vs Lita Ford
  20. phil collins vs peter gabriel

No, there'sno truth to that. They scan packages whenever people interact with them. I once watched a package go from LA to Chicago 4 times before finally getting to me. (UPS)

I think I know the owner of that setup At least, I recognize the 22mm lahti anti tank rifle, and he worked as a programmer for a security consulting firm in dc. I don't see his thompson tho.
