Briefcases, Bags, and the Murse
I prefer the beefier zippers, metal hardware and less constrained compartmentalization of the Red Oxx bags. Plus the appropriate cocktail to go with a Ref Oxx bag is a Corpse Reviver 2 while the appropriate cocktail for the Bihn bags is a Cosmo.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Congrats to your son Mike, that is a great accomplishment. Good luck to you and your son Dinny on your respective G&Ts.

Two Brooklyn Cocktails, same recipe as yesterday except the one on the left uses Torani Amer and the one on the right uses Amer Boudreau. The Torani is lighter and sweeter, the Boudreau is more complex and kicks harder since I used everclear for my tincture. That said they are pretty close when mixed in a Brooklyn.

Nice looking orgeat mash Marc. Finally finished filtering the Amer Boudreau so decided to make a Brooklyn Cocktail 2 oz High West rye whiskey 3/4 oz Dolin dry vermouth 1/3 oz Amer Boudreau 1/3 oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur Stir with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry.

Well between the bad juju foisted upon Al and the cocktail fail that Jeff had to endure I made my own Handy based Sazerac and am including a comparison photo. Between the Handy and the absolute horror of the Californicated Sazerac I'm pretty sure I was able to transfer the bad juju to the bartender at the mixing room. Also realized I never posted the picture of the Blood and Sand I had at Rye over the weekend.

MacBook Pro Advice
I never felt not having a DVD drive built-in was a serious limitation on my net book. With DVD sharing in OSx it is even less of a limitation on the MBA, and as Dan said, for those rare times, there are external drives. That said, I still have a floppy drive on the lab PC

A Blood and Sand at Rye. A Naughty Sundress, Martinez and another house drink that I cannot remember at the moment at Bourbon and Branch. Excellent drinks and an excellent waitress.

Nice garnish on the Blackthorn Marc. Decided to retry the Blood and Sand, same recipe I used previously but substituting the Asyla for the Glenlivet OK Asyla must be bottled by Apple with added unicorn dust. I finished this off before I could get this posted.

Much better cocktail name Al, sounds like something to be drinking while listening to jazz. As far as the beer versus cocktail battle, it's not a war, only a police action. Moving on from Left Coast Babs to the Blackthorn Cocktail 2 oz gin 3/4 oz Dubonnet 3/4 oz kirsch Stir with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry and a lemon twist. Moving in the right direction. Better.
