Went up to Chicago for work today. On the way back I figured I would shop for a little bourbon and beer at Binny's. So I did my shopping and when I was checking out my Visa debit card was declined. So when I called up the bank it seems that some douche bag tried to charge $3000 worth of travel on the card. Luckily the bank blocked the charges, and cancelled the card. The bad news is it will take 10 - 14 days to get a functional replacement. Annoying but it could have been worse. Needless to say I left Binnys without the beer and bourbon. Luckily, I have ample supplies at home.

IMO the D2000 are not terrible, not really overpriced and are certainly no longer FOTM anywhere. That being said, how am I supposed to know what you are looking for. At least it appears that you have read a little and your screen name does make me chuckle.

The files are only moved over when you want them. The only potential problem is that they are not really available if you are not connected. They are not pushed to the phone, and in fact I'm not really sure if you could. The files I use it for are mostly word, excel and PDF files.

Yes, it automatically syncs across all computers that are linked to that account. It also works on all my PCs, Macs, iPad and android phone.

Magic Trackpad Windows drivers

Also with the iPad you have access to iBooks, kindle store and B&N. Also for technical PDFs with color plates the iPad has an obvious advantage. For magazines zinio on the iPad kicks ass. The kindle also lacks Apple's patented unicorn dust.
