  1. Sounds right
  2. IIRC there were reports of the GS1000 drivers breaking when people burned in their headphones with slightly louder than listening volume. Actually I think there were reports of the GS1000 breaking just by people looking at them and their existing. I don't know how much this extends to the PS1000 but the PS1000 is just a GS1000 with metal cups so probably quite a bit.
  3. Everything I have is both NOS and milspec. Sounds good, man.

*raises hand* I'm pretty sure I haven't broken or damaged any speakers or headphones in my lifetime.
  5. One of them contains trace amounts of metal. I haven't tried gut strings in forever, the only set I ever tried was Eudoxa. Synthetic core works for me just fine. I'm still waiting on more exotic metals, though, like palladium or rhodium. Evil indeed...
  6. Cool, I better be able to make this one since I had to miss the last one. The snow didn't help.
  7. Ah okay, that's definitely true. You should come to the dark side with us (analog).
  8. Most strings do have metal, and some are purely metal, using materials ranging from silver to aluminum, gold, steel.
  9. Hell yeah, it's time to STAX IT UP!
  10. I was being sarcastic. Did you read the thread?
  11. Round 2: [url=http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/want-more-bass-your-hd-800-easy-mod-464042/]Want more bass from your HD 800?
  12. The Chinese way is you're born 1 and every Chinese New Year's everyone's ages get incremented by 1. So if you're born the day before CNY you're 2 at 2 days old.
  13. Wtf? Have I been living a lie all these years? :(
  14. That's hott.

Well that didn't last very long. I'm pretty sure all the orders will just get canceled though, as they always do.

Oh whoops, thanks for that. I might have to pull the trigger on that beat up Lambda instead... Meanwhile, worth a shot: is this real? are these akg k 702's? - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=210239323&listingid=66984736
  18. lolwut Is there a backstory?
  19. x2 The correct way to say it is "Happy New Year's" because New Year's Day is the holiday being celebrated, as opposed to the whole year.

  21. And apparently all he has left is a HD650. :( I should get in touch with him again sometime.

Yeah I've been waiting on that and would currently prefer something that is somewhat transportable to two towering 5-6 foot behemoths. I wouldn't mind a pair of 1.6s on the cheap now though.
  23. Happy birthday, Reks!
  24. Sweet, HD800 has moved into top five headphones I really want to hear. Along with the HE60 again, since I know some prefer it to the O2. I wonder if milkpowder is still using his pair.

Nah I was just messing with you. Well, not quite. There really is a class of numbers called algebraic numbers and pi really is not algebraic, as nattonrice said.
