  1. Recently bricked my M2 MacBook Air by the simple expedient of drunkenly spilling bourbon into the keyboard. Luckily I had AppleCare coverage and just told them it suddenly stopped working and they were like whatever just send it back and get an M3, which I did. It has 24 GB of RAM and gotta say, it's snappy. Both kids are still on iPhone 13s and will get an upgrade to 16s. I like my 15 Pro Max just fine so I'll probably stand pat.
  2. Apple Music gave me a nudge today about an Eno EP reissue. Not sure what the deal is but this song is on it and it reminded me to listen to one of my favorite guitar solos ever another 20 times.
  3. Badly belated Happy Birthday, big head.
  4. The British Chris Cross. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13262433/Ultravox-star-played-wrote-classic-Vienna-hit-died-frontman-Midge-Ure-pays-tribute-loved-missed-old-friend.html
  5. Not ashamed to say I still deeply love Thomas Dolby. There's a lot to appreciate across his portfolio but think "Astronauts and Heretics" is probably his strongest album. Contains, for my money, two of the better pure pop songs ever written.
  6. Sometimes you have to take the whole 20-minute ride. IMO the definitive version of an epic song.
  7. Happy birthday!
