  1. Fish motherfucker! Do you eat it?
  2. Dew eet.
  3. That story really pegged the whiney-ometer! How dare people spend their money on things I find frivolous (or can't afford)? Don't they know there are children starving in (insert suitably benighted region)?
  4. Jeff, what about a Deepsea Sea-Dweller if the 40mm Rolex sports models wear too small for you? Otherwise, again, would look at an AP Diver on a bracelet. Butch as fuck!
  5. I predict beautiful, beautiful music.
  6. All perfectly valid reasons.
  7. I'm just finding as I go along that I don't really want a date window on my watches. It messes with the symmetry of the dial (egregiously so in the case of a lot of chronographs). The Rolex cyclops of course literally magnifies this effect, however practical it may be in use.
  8. Technically the 114060 is the Submariner. The 116610 is the Submariner Date.
  9. Mac McCaughan -- Lost Again Sounds a lot better on TIDAL but still a nice song. I got a really Aussie, Paul Kelly vibe from this on first listen.

It is said that the reason Jeremy couldn't have his steak was that he'd been sat in a pub drinking for two hours before coming back to the hotel, during which time the chef had quite reasonably gone home. This would make him an even bigger arsehole for blaming it on the producer. I'm sure the full salacious details (plus, hopefully, a rough transcript of the 20-minute tirade) will be surreptitiously placed in the public domain by anonymous BBC sources.
  11. Late to the party, but the only current Rolex that do it for me are the no-date Sub, 39 mm Explorer and white dial Daytona.
  12. Skyrockets in flight?
  13. Hehe hehehe hehe. That makes good sense though, thanks!
  14. I guess the other option, as Jeff alludes to, is digital level control in the DAC -> BHSE -> BHSE loop out -> power amp -> speakers. Have been thinking about getting either a Bricasti M1 or a dCS Debussy, which could both manage that. Job 1 is treating the BHSE right though, the desktop monitors are just a nice-to-have for me.
  15. First World Stax problem. I'd like to get my BHSE off my desk and into a rack, but then it's out of easy reach for volume adjustment. If I were to instead go DAC -> integrated amp with remote -> preout -> BHSE, would I make the beautiful, beautiful music significantly less beautiful, beautiful? And where should I set the BHSE pot to take it out of the loop? Ah thenk yew.
  16. Gonna be a heavy new album I think.
  17. That's not allowed anymore. But the foxes are doing their best to swing public sentiment behind a revival of the practice!

  19. Awoken at 2:00 am by a commotion in the garden. It was the fucking foxes, fucking
  20. Most excellent lunch with Colin. Think he took pictures. Afterwards retreated to my spiritual home ...
  21. Happy Birthday Al!

Jezza needs to get off the sauce, I think.
  23. Nouveau riche has been a synonym for poor taste for a long time. No reason to expect the Chinese, Russians etc. to act much different.
  24. Sets up a classic "Your Mom" joke ...
  25. Leave it to Biver.
