  1. Dusty you bloody beaut, that's it. A space on the end of the album name and iTunes treats them as separate titles. I love you and I want to have your babies!
  2. It's all familiarity. After almost five years of looking after two kids full time, the only thing that really frightens me is the idea of having to deal with adults in the workplace again.
  3. Have another kid, then you'll be able to look back on these as the good times!
  4. You're onto something. Tube Chomper!
  5. Thanks JP. That certainly works for sorting -- I currently just have a smart playlist that looks for any song with a sample rate > 2000kbps, but your solution is simpler and better. What it won't do, though, is show the two albums as separate versions in the main grid view, which is what I'd ideally like to be able to accomplish without screwing with the titles. Not really a big deal, just one of those "but why can't I do this way" usability niggles.
  6. Yeah, I think I'll try knocking on the door before blowing up the building, thanks.
  7. I'm starting to accumulate a fair bit of hi-res material in iTunes and much of it is made up of higher-bit rate versions of albums I already have in CD format. What I can't seem to figure out is how to tag these duplicate albums so they will sort and display separately without adding a modifier (like [24/96] or [DVD-A] or whatever) to the Album field -- since doing that screws up LastFM and other apps that pull that data. Sub-fields like Comments, Grouping etc. don't seem to be used by iTunes to distinguish different versions. Any iTunes power users out there?
  8. Good news on the Mono sets!
  9. Lloyd Cole -- Antidepressant Possibly the album about the compromises and consolations of finally growing up in early middle age. Or perhaps it just looks that way to me.
  10. Joe Jackson -- Mike's Murder

  17. Have had that playing in the car for a while. My kids now really like to sing the Dolphin Song bit from "Folding Chair." Loudly. In public. Urr urr, urr urr urr, urr urr urr, urr URRRRRRR! Last night's Housemartins led to this morning's Beautiful South.
  18. And if those wood cups didn't need to go on my HF-1s.
