Don't want to sound like a fanboy but I'd like to add the Neko D100 to that list. I also have the Gilmore Lite(with DPS) and it sounds gorgeous with it(for the few days that I've had it, 2nd hand dac). Definitely worth a shot, even though it's a bit more expensive than the other DACs.

Yes that says something coming from Monkey, I've always had an eye out(and still do) for the PWD for my stax setup, I also got the Neko D100 for my desktop after reading the review TheMonkey did(and reading up a bit more of course...)

Another quick question, I've been talking with the gentleman from Signalcable(excellent customer service btw...) He asked me which type of balanced output the DAC uses in order to make the interconnects. http://www.vandenhul.com/userfiles/docs/Audio_and_Video_Cable+Connector_Wiring_Diagrams_for_DIY_purposes.pdf Should I tell him it's the one in Fig.3?

Well just knowing if my audio settings are right? For example in Digital Output settings, there's a tab Supported Formats>Sample Rates, all enhancements are disabled, there's also another tab that says "Advanced" and you have the option to select the default format(2ch, 24bit, 44100Hz is what I have it set at) And in foobar 2000, well there's a lot of options there, I followed the ones mentioned on the Ayre guide, but just wondering if they were ok or not. Also not sure if it matters, but I'm using toslink to connect the dac to the computer

Mr. Neko ,or anyone is there a guide available that shows which audio settings in Windows and foobar should be looked into? I'm currently using WASAPI and foobar2k, I followed the Ayre guide, but not sure if it's all correct (Foobar Setup XP)

Thanks everyone for the help, went to the audio store and got them to wire the cable properly(the young guy that did it first didn't know how to, this one did), I still made sure it was wired properly according to the diagram. Currently enjoying the sound of the D100, now to deal with Signalcable...

No sadly signalcable sent me the wrong type of interconnect so I've had to get one from some local electronic shop. He didn't wire it properly.... Is this diagram correct?

Yeah, I checked all those, volume levels are all fine, and any filters or w/e are disabled. I'm thinking it might be the interconnects? Is this possible? For a bit I was getting the proper volume but only on right channel, when I switched the interconnect to the left output I stopped getting audio from the right and now got audio from the left... However now I'm back to having the low volume problem, but I can barely hear audio from both channels.

I just received my neko d100 mk1, and I'm getting an extremely low sound from it. It's currently connected to a gilmore lite w/dps, and connected to the computer with spdif(rca). Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Don't forget the 2 dvd-only episodes for season 2 that came out recently. They really should've done a few more seasons instead of cancelling it... Watched latest eps of Rubicon.

I agree with this, probably a bad impulse buy and now he has some expenses he needs to take care of. Best thing to do here is cut the shipping costs and refund him his money. Avoid any unnecessary hassles
