I found that class infinitely more tedious than any math class I'd ever taken. I can appreciate the beauty and connections between seemingly different disciplines like algebra and analysis but I couldn't find anything in that class that made me smile and go - you sneaky son of a bitch, bravo. Perhaps it was the presentation of the material that was so dry. Maybe it was that the textbook was just filled with formulas and seemingly arbitrary rules that I could not relate to anything else. Everything I had learnt until then had at least some minute connection. Either I failed to see it with fin acc or the professor/book failed to show it to me. School I was at required another fin acc class to finish the MBA program. Never finished it. Maybe someday in the future ill go back and take the remaining 7 classes.

The two devils have butt sechs and then you get pregnant with Keanu reeves. Not ideal IMHO.

Financial accounting is how the devil gets inside of you. I hated that class so much. Also, tensor notation can suck it.

Bookshelf speakers/monitors that can take a digital input?
crappyjones123 replied to recstar24's topic in Speakers
If you can find a small digital amp, naaman had very good things to say about the hsu research bookshelves. Don't know if you NEED a subwoofer with those or not but they are quite inexpensive compared to quad offerings. -
If you have an option consider something with sequences and series. Something that deals with convergence and divergence properties. All the MBA kids in the financial management and financial math class had a very hard time with formulas and understanding why things behaved the way they did when math kids were just taking the discrete function and taking the limit of it as the time approached infinity. Diff eq would be helpful as well. Is the MBA program more about management or finance? With the former I don't think much math is required but any place with a financial emphasis would probably require comfort with ode, some ode and some series.

I don't know why but those black and white things are freaking me out.

That is fucking awesome Jacob! Glad the transcript fiasco didn't mess things up. And Math classes are fun

The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.

My copy of the tokina 11-16 was utter rubbish. Might have been a bad copy. It also had a fidgety way of switching to manual focus which I didn't like. -

Solved the other problem with using an sae hex key instead of metric. The other cabinet is done completely for now. It is (relatively) cold here so the oil isn't drying all too well after 4 coats. Finishing shall resume in the spring or as soon as there is more sun out during the day. But now it looks like this. Thoughts?

While putting together the speakers I ran into some issues. Help would be much appreciated. 1. I placed the driver in one of the cabinets but the holes aren't lined up parallel to the sides and the top - the screw holes aren't squared like they are supposed to be. The driver is in the recessed slot where it is supposed to be and I can't get it out of there to adjust the position of the driver. Any thoughts? I am going in blind if I try to poke it out from the back hole but I am scared I will damage the driver if I try to poke it out. There is a piece of wood that blocks view of the front hole from the back hole. 2. The other driver was centered correctly with 3 screws holding it down but the 4th one's top stripped half way down into the wood. I can't screw it in further (nor do I want to in case I need to change the driver). Can't pull it out either. The gentleman at Home Depot said that the screws aren't readily available so I am not sure where to find replacements from however I am considering using plain old phillips head oval wood screws even though they won't look as nice as the supplied screws. Supplied screws are hex nut wood screws. I've tried the rubber band technique. Didn't help.
