  1. Yes, I believe that he does.
  2. I don't understand the "smaller than expected" comments, did you guys not just pull out a ruler to see how big it was going to be from the dimensions given on the site? Or is it smaller than those dimensions would indicate?
  3. Just apply what we've heard so far Stretch, it has ~100db of attenuation compared to the standard ~60db so it's able to have a higher gain but still provide ample adjustment for sensitive phones. Hence, no gain switch required, its "range" if you will is unprecedented.
  4. Does Newark still bend you over with shipping? I'll never forget ordering parts for two PIMETAs and having them arrive in a box the size of steamer trunk. I used that box to store every project I worked on for the next 3 years and only threw it away when I moved.
  5. Looks like the guy who I bought the variac from bought them, small world.
  6. Keith Jarrett - The Koln Concert
  7. Well, I got the same email today but no cases so I guess they still get it sort of right. Although my account said "shipped" the day after the purchase so I'd say they were a little generous there.
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. 250V, 2000VA Variac. Also approved completion on the restoration and calibration of the soon-to-be-mine B&K 700. While cosmetically challenged, it's a beast of a tester and will be as-new electrically when it arrives and good for another 30+ years of service.
  10. I think they just don't like New Englanders, I haven't heard boo since I placed my order either but my account shows the status as "shipped".
  11. I was talking about the fancy display. Thanks for the link and as usual, nice work! I'd be very curious to hear your thoughts about that kit and how it performs. Reading that thread has always left me with kind of a mixed bag of impressions.
  12. Naaman, what is that?
  13. Not to mention that they started Dollhouse in the oh-so-coveted Friday night slot.
  14. Bump one more old thread and you'll be looking for a new place to post.

I'll be arriving then as well but heading into town with my little sister. I'll try to get on site reasonably early Saturday morning and catch up with HD800 fever.
  16. Yes, I have two but want MOAR. Actually, what I want is a good, calibrated tester that can measure mutual transconductance so that Nugget Audio can offer tube matching services to Head-Casers. And if all goes according to plan I'll probably sell one of the 3 to someone here and pass along a good deal. I never should have bought the one this weekend.
  17. I bought and sold a tube tester in less than 24hrs. Now appear to have negotiated the purchase of a completely refurbished/rebuilt tester that I will keep and build a new case for when it arrives. Details once everything is finalized.
  18. Played 18 in the annual UNH Track and Field Alumni Golf Tourney. Considering I haven't swung a club in the better part of a year I played relatively well. Also, sold a bunch of stuff and was thankfully outbid on an Ebay auction I wanted to lose.
  19. Happy Birthday Ari!
  20. I wouldn't be pissed if it ended now from a plot perspective but from a fan perspective I'm 100% with Dusty. It was a hell of an entertaining half-season and I'd really like to see MOAR NAO! Given the dearth of decent shows I'd like to think it will survive but I've been disappointed far too many times.
  21. Al, you're straight crazy. P.s. Pete's unnecessarily complex 300b is still available (or was when I last felt like drooling like my daughter) and would be cheaper than your Raven project.
  22. Happy Birthday !
  23. Dinny, Shoot me a PM with how much you need.
