MBL room 1 of 3. Digging so far.

Okay heard some other stuff in the Purity room and I'm underwhelmed. I'm not getting much warmth. Need to revisit, I think this can be better.

Deadalus in the Purity Audio. Playing some fucking smooth jazz and I refuse to give impressions off this shit.

Madisound. Not really listening, more a sales room and the rig is way quiet.

Audio Note. I think these are too far into the corners. Midrange is decent.

TEO Audio. Throwing a big soundstage here with lots of depth moreso than width.

Here we go. Starting at Audio Engine, John is interested. These really are tiny ass cabinets.

Maybe I have poor taste, but I think it's an okay-looking piece except for the gold buttons. I tend to take the Nate point-of-view when it comes to gold-anything on gear.

Anyone else have plans to join us? Looks like we have a 4 man crew for Saturday and Sunday – Mike G, John, Marc, and myself. John and Mike G: how likely is it that you can or want to go to the show on Friday? If you want to pass, I think that'd be okay since Marc is arriving later. Maybe we can gather at my place? Mike G: did you want to crash in Oak Park during the weekend, or any particular night? Marc: on Friday, instead of Blue Line, take Green Line CTA towards Harlem and exit at Ridgeland. I'll pick you up from that stop whenever you arrive. I think John is the only one who has actually bought tickets, so we need to remember to do that.

Nasty slushy bullshit is everywhere here. I thought my team got back to O'Hare with enough time for everyone to leave, but my colleague from Toronto had his flight expectedly cancelled. Other colleague from New York is lucky enough to be going to South Carolina this weekend. Stay safe northeast HC'ers.
