Started my summer camp instructor position. Should be a good summer.

Post what you're watching
Weeds has gotten less entertaining. Nurse Jackie is better then expected, I'd recommend it. Now I await more Dexter. I'm a ShoWhore.

Concord Cd's & SACD's for $5.98
Thats what I meant when I said that. They hacked the 1910, but its the same procedure from what I've seen.

[REVIEW] Shure SE102
I don't pay much attention or usually fully read reviews from people I don't know, and especially with username that I would have to work to remember.

Post the last thing you bought!
Are you near UNCG? I'm thinking of finding out where you live.

Concord Cd's & SACD's for $5.98
I was planning to eventually use a $120 Denon DV-1920 to pass DSD to the Buffalo or Opus DAC.

Post the last thing you bought!
Definately true. Happily enough though, the only one of those I'm interested in is the LNS, I'll probably hope to find some of those to hear at canjam 2010. I have a feeling that I'm going to be happy for a long time just filling the three sockets on the T1, the Signature has me more satisfied with headphones then I've ever been with a headphone rig. ebay.co.uk auction, here it is: Stax SR Earphones with Self-Energised/Adaptor. - eBay (item 180364818991 end time Jun-10-09 15:40:11 PDT)

Stax SR-Lambda with SRD7/SB. Now my vintage Lambda collection is complete (until I sell the pro, which seems more and more likely).

What did you do today?
Technically yesterday, but I had my last day of teaching. I get to be an "instructor" now at summer camp, pretty sweet.

Deals
I hate those things, had a pair in the past. It's commonly known that the cable splits open and destroys itself very quickly. Though, at four bucks a pop, I guess you could make it a good while if you spent the $27 they used to sell for when I bought them.

OPPO BDP-83
BTW, Blockbuster rents several titles you can try out if you would wish such as "Pirates 2". My ex pointed that out to me. I purchased my player for $135 after tax last black Friday, I fully expect $100 players to be available by Christmas.

The Headcase Stax thread
Toshiba 6FQ7 is what I use now, following basically what tube was recommended and sold to me by Spritzer. Its great, though I don't expect the T1 to properly drive the SR-007.

Welcome to head-case HQ.

The Headcase Stax thread
Congrats Spritzer! Another thing that keeps me permanently envious of your Stax gear, but you've earned it.

The Headcase Stax thread
can't you put the drivers into just about any Lambda frame?

Grado Wooden Box
Anyone venture a guess at what headphone's insert should I select for a wooden box considering the HF-2 is special edition?

Parasound DAC-1000 or Little Dot DAC 1
No need to apologize, I'm not trying to aim a shovel at your head or anything. However, I would rather that everyone gives an introduction or at least complete their user profile before writing in for advice and before it becomes a habit, if that is not in line with views here then I'll refrain. IMO, it seems proper that everyone gets to know each other before asking strangers for advice. Treat it as if you walked into a gathering of friends and began to ask about their personal views before an exchange of introductions and welcomes. After we've been introduced and as we get to know each other, you'll also know how to better take opinions into consideration. I apologize that I came off as being overtly harsh. I'm not hinting that you OP have done anything out of line, its only my advice in reference to future posts and seriously, welcome to headcase. Many of these guys offer great advice, myself excluded.

Parasound DAC-1000 or Little Dot DAC 1
Welcome to head-case. Some advice: do not ask anymore newbie questions before you get to know others around here and read the welcome PM. There are other forums that would be happy to have you come in as a stranger to us and ask what things you should buy because you can't be bothered to figure it out yourself. That said, Parasound DAC definately does not have USB input, so your computer will have to have toslink or coaxial out. I would likely go with the PICO DAC before either of those unmodded.
-
Oh my stars and garters, a flac player!
Thats how I feel as well. Some people will wish to listen on the walk to work as well and don't want to carry the iPod to work when the Pico might be there is all I could think of. Two years ago it would have made much more sense to me.

So long, Grasshopper
Asshole stole my plan. Anyway, I think tying himself up that way is more likely then his murdererer meeting him in Bangkok stripping him and tying him around his testicles before hanging him.

Rank Your Headphones
They have bitumen stuffed around the drivers and a few strips inside the cups, reflex dots cut from electrical tape, and craft felt over the back of the driver. I'm still working on my mods, though I've put off playing with them for a while now and have to resolder a wire I pinched off from the driver joint before I can make any new auditions. I bet I would prefer them to the K701 in memory as well, but haven't directly compared and believe that can be more attributed to my taste in headphones.
