No, the OP is mark II since mark 1 is better than mark II. Mark II has a slight mid bass hump... uh i mean asshat hump, unlike mark 1 which is quite neutral. -
Good one Nate !

Fuck. I hate that pic. Gives me goosebumps every time I see it. Its gross. -
Yeah, I keep telling myself that every time I have the urge to buy the ESW9. Its been working soo far... This is part of the reason why I want one now... At least they are still affordable right now. They will probably cost an arm an a leg in the future once they are no longer available in stores... they will become like the PS1 and that CD we were discussing in the other thread. I'm sure they (ESW10) will hit at least the $650 mark further down the line...

Stop it! Stop it! Its soo freaking difficult to hold back... I'm been saving up for an L3000 for months... you guys are not making it any easier for me.... this costs 1/5th of the L3000 budget... dammit! I've managed to stay away from the ESW9 soo far, making do with my ES7. Now the ESW10JPN comes along... and its limited.... *I must be experiencing W11jpn withdrawal syndrome since I sold mine off last week... *

Does your HD650 serve double duty for home/non portable use too? If so, then you're cheating! Cut the budget by half... Personally, I think having a headphone to serve double duty is a good way to go. I'm saying it is "teh suck" when people start compromising on their home setup so that they can have two systems that are roughly the same in performance. I'd rather have an inferior portable system and a superb home setup instead of a two so~so systems. But in the end, it all comes down to where one does his/her listening. I prefer to have the better setup at home where I can have uninterrupted listening time all to myself. In Uni I'm bound to bump into friends/someone who has something to say, and it sucks having to remove my headphone/IEMs every now and then. I guess its a moot point. Each person has his/her priorities and compromises. So yeah, whatever floats our goats.... uh boats. I meant boats. -
Now you've really got me curious about what you posted... I saw something like a pile of messages/explanation from Jude about the downtime... Hmmm... death or find out what you posted... tough choice.

What did we miss?

x2 I used to care though.

Baby Elephant Walk and Peter Gunn are on there.... no wonder the price shot up. But seriously though, pure craziness for it to shoot up from $2 to $98 in one day because of one review. That's just too much. Evil! * Can I invest in your biz? *
-
Seriously? WTF Any idea what CD it was? The very next day @ $98? Sheeeeeeeeeet

That guy is fucking insane. Till this very day I don't think I've seen anyone with that little a life(no life) and soo much free time on their hands. It freaks me out when I chance upon old threads from the past where discussions were going on between his multiple screen names... its just so damn stupid. Heh... you may never know. There might be some wackos out there with more money than sense... And yeah, I'd have to agree that out of production headphones normally seem to come in multiples when crazy sales start to occur.

Tennis balls can produce music? I like the soft tapping sound they produce when you bounce them on the court. And yeah, spending tons of $ on portable rig is teh suck! Waste of $ IMO. I just plug my iM716 into my Creative MuVo2 FM 5GB when I'm on the go and I'm oh sooo happy. Whenever I get PMs from newbies on the other site regarding a portable setup, I just tell them to save their money and focus on a good home setup instead. Anyone here does critical listening while on the go? No? I guessed as much, so yeah, expensive portable setups are the suck when it comes to value for money. -
Happy Birthday! Have a nice one!

Am I the only one who caught this? WTF is this crap? Even the upper case and lower case is the same in both posts...

ZOMG! Justin, you better ship my pico with $480 in refunds inside the box since your secret is out and it cost you only $20 to build it. -
Those are actually quite good sounding for the price. I have tried them them before. I'd grab a couple for using when out and about if I were you. Too bad I don't live in the US so I have to miss out on them. I'd say those make a good pair of phones to toss in the bag and use when on the go. They are sweat and water resistant too.

Happy Birthday to the both of ya! :prettyprincess:

While that may be true, he is running business after all, and so every cent counts. If you had a very simple (& entertaining ) way to add $4700 into your pocket, wouldn't you want to? $4700 = 68 units of SR60 Selling one PS1 is like selling a bucket load of SR60... :o
-
$4700 is more than the second hand value of my car. My car is worth less than a PS1... Same here. Can you imagine if the guy does not like the PS1 sound? Imagine what a nightmare he is gonna have to go through to sell it back at that price... The guy is probably gonna take a significant loss if he wants to get rid of it. Unless of course the next PS1 sells for $5k...
-
Simple, because this way, he can get $4k a pop. I wish I knew back then about the existence of HF and HC. Back in 2004 I was happily enjoying my stock Creative mp3 player earbuds and my $30 panasonic earbuds...
