  1. That was my reading as well.
  2. Ordered thanks
  3. While true it's not a problem if you do it with people who are convinced there's a difference which is the majority in this hobby. To be clear too I think about 80% of the time I've done blind testing there has been an audible difference (though I recently redid one that I used to get 95% chance I was not gessing and I couldn't tell the difference so there's also a "training" bias). Also it's common to have you DBT designed so there is a statistically noticable difference in some of the samples being compared to at least illuminate that bias.
  4. Not with double blind testing it doesn't
  5. RIP Steve Not a fan but he was a brilliant guy there is no doubt.
  6. Congrats I just put down the first payment on a 30 year mortgage ...
  7. Congrats ^ I hope it ends your search too!
  8. I'm not excited about it either because I already have a wire with gain amp (which is all I need). That said I don't much care if the layout is "piss poor" etc because if it meets its performance specs then it's a solid low cost option for a wide range of people.
  9. Great work Antonio and Jeff! As an aside the SD4000is is a great "family" point and shoot. Consistently good photos in a wide range of conditions and the fast turn on in particular is awesome. I also really like the Tiltpod magnetic tripod (http://gomite.com/) it works really well for posing shots on pretty much anything and in particular sticks to cars like glue.
  10. Cool. I've already got 2k+ photos of other stuff with them so probably just going to stick with it and I got the "passport" or whatever figured out finally.
  11. Flickr Pro for 2 years. Baby pic hosting
  12. Sorry for your loss.
  13. Double post
  14. Thanks guys and gals for the congrats we really appreciate it.
  15. Watched my amazing wife give birth to our baby boy Benjamin. I can't believe I'm a dad. I can't believe she did it without any meds either. Feeling very very blessed.
  16. Happy birthday!
  17. Good luck Salty. Hope it isn't serious.
  18. Interesting. I've done some experimenting with this kind of thing and will tell you that EQ and voicing can have that effect too. For example through straight up EQ I got at least 2 pairs of untrained ears to hear a background singer that they had not noticed before without me telling them what to listen for. That said I'm not saying that's what's going on here but it I'm pretty sure it's an effect.
  19. Happy birthday guys. I hope you have a great one!
  20. Sorry Ken. I hope another opportunity presents itself soon.
  21. ^ nice. I loves me some Wilco.
  22. U-Haul trailer and appliance dolley rental, lifting straps and 2" ball hitch to allow me to move my free washer/dryer combo to our weekend place. Already got refunded from Lowes and man it feels good to save over $1000
  23. Good luck Ken. I hope congrats are soon required
  24. LOL The space is tiny and it's one of the few that fits. Turns out there are some stackable units that fit too but this will do for now and if we don't like it, it was free and we can replace it.
  25. Happy Birthday Sir!
