  1. Foster The People - Torches I am enjoy!
  2. I always manage to forget about the 4070 and be blissfully satisfied with my setup which I think is perfect for me. Then every once and a while I get reminded of my happy hour or so with the 4070 and my KGSS and I want to try that setup again (well now with a KGSSHV or even just the Stax SS amp. I found the 007 mk1 to be way too dark for my tastes and if I could have gotten a 4070 for a reasonable price I think I would have possibly kept my Stax setup.
  3. I'm really looking forward to hearing these phones sometime. Al do you still have 4070 to compare to? I ask only out of interest as they are my favorite Stax.
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. No from me with the new arrival next month but you guys have a great time!
  6. Check out the SD4000 IS as well. I am a fan.
  7. Nice bar Jim.
  8. With the VR you can but otherwise you're probably right The SD4000IS arrived yesterday and man it is tiny. It turns on super fast, the low light performance is excellent (better than my D200) and screen looks great. The super slow motion movies are fun too. Very happy so far but no use in "real life".
  9. ^Nice Turns out I got a free waterproof bag thingy for my new point and shoot by ordering from Amazon
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Well the offer is there if you change your mind Shelly. I've lent it out a couple times with no issue but those were all local.
  12. 2 cable modems to stop paying rent to the man.
  13. Drove down to the house early and put together my new weed trimmer and then used it to dig out the front walkway from under a 3 inch mat of dirt and grass. Mowed some more. Met with handyman about fixing the venting on the dryer. Signed up for Comcast internet to allow telecommuting from there and learned that I should have bought a cable modem years ago instead of paying 10% of the cost in rent each month . Then came home and took our dog to "doggy day" at the local pool. Finally we went to see Contagion which was awesome.
  14. Thinking of buying for my little guy:
  15. If you pay insured shipping both ways you can try out my Nikon 105 VR
  16. Fair enough I shoot nikon and wouldn't know what to with them anyway.
  17. Yeah. I thought that too but looking at the example picture comparisons at ISO 1600 on dpreview there really isn't that much difference (very surprisingly to me) unless I'm really cropping: http://www.dpreview....000is/page8.asp I also found this comparison of the two: http://www.cameralab...S/verdict.shtml After talking it over with my wife were going to go with the one with faster turn on time, better automatic, and higher shot rate: the SD4000. I'd love to get the S95 with the manual focus ring and kick ass review screen but I have a DSLR for that. I think we (and more importantly she) will be very happy.
  18. KD what are your impressions on the s95? I'm still torn between it an the SD4000is and having a hard time justifying the extra $115 or so for the ISO performance and slight increase in image quality. Otherwise the two of them spec out to pretty much identical numbers etc. want to get the s95 but I can't bring myself to do it. My wife is probably going to end up making the decision for me, as it will be her camera anyway.
  19. Ouch Vicki. I hope things improve.
  20. Nice! Give yourself a laser etched tattoo ;-)
  21. QFT. Man I'm glad I pretty much don't drink these days or I'd be in some trouble
  22. + Those weeds and bushes don't stand a chance
  23. Brent: good luck with Day 2! Me: Started the process of transitioning to a different credit card because I'm switching from a cash back card to an AA air miles card since I don't see flights getting cheaper anytime soon and the miles are currently worth more than the cash back. It's a PITA becasuse I know my trusty Amex cards number by heart etc. I know nothing to really complain about but it's a PITA.
