Yeah our house is currently pretty much "done". I redid the weatherstripping on the front door and mulched the beds so now I'm all set. I even figured out that the only problem with the back screen door that has been driving me nuts for years was that the lock mechanism needed lubing. It's a very nice feeling to have nothing on my list other than touch up painting which I just keep putting off because I don't really care.
Had friends over last night for burgers in the back yard. It was sweet.
I don't think it was the rotors fault really I've driven the car very hard sometimes and I like breaking hard in general.
Mine appears to have larger than normal (for a Subaru) vented (not cross drilled) rotors. As said above I appear to have driven it too hard over the years of enjoying my 2.5 Turbo. I saw the front rotors when they were trying to machine them. They were totally warped.
I just now put some pennies under my spikes I had been using some rubber feet for furniture but the spikes worked their way through to my floor in a couple spots. This now should survive the onslaught.
2 New front rotors, rotor machining of the rear and 4 sets of break pads for my Subaru. I guess a little TLC is needed after 50k. I've still got to buy some new tires for it too. I just have to remind myself that it's a whole lot cheaper than buying a new car.
Not much use for anyone but the original person. I'd guess that you'd end up somewhere around where Dolby Headphone takes you for anyone but the original listener.
To be honest they could come out with an App to do the math once they got the 5.1 signal but if I remember correctly Smyth specifically want to avoid having to pay for DTS/etc licenses.
I too am looking forward to hearing more about Android and Win7 tablets. I want a USB port.
Congrats Sherwood.
Me: I shopped around for new tires for the Subaru after being informed that the ones on the car are in need of replacement. I have not yet managed to find a significantly better price than what the dealer quoted. I also arranged to go to Meineke to get my rear brake pads replaced and the rotors machined for less than half what the dealer quoted.
got information that my new green card has been approved and should be making its way to me shortly.... one more hurdle crossed on the way to citizenship.
This afternoon I finally get my TT bike and I will be riding it tomorrow
Thanks for the very kind offer. Unfortunately we're only doing stages 2 and 3. I'd love to do the whole thing but I really can't afford all the vacation. Maybe when my vacation amount goes up in another year or two.
Top level professional cycling race: AMGEN Tour of California
My wife is going to run the Bay to Breakers on 5/16 while we're out there but I'm just going to watch and hopefully get a few autographs from Cavendish and others (not Lance).
Played with my new Gamma 1 Lite. Sounds good to me. No audible noise floor at the levels I usually listen at and looks a lot better sitting there than my Transit.
Yeah but I'm just racing cat 5 (absolute beginner) so it's a bit eye opening. In road racing they let the Cat1 (expert equivalents) race with the pros all the time. A lot of races are pro/1/2. That said I don't know of any of the big ProTour level races that allow that.
Cheers,
Chris
learned that I need another year or two in my legs to be remotely competitive in cat5 racing. It's almost laughable how much more you have to push compared to the "fast" group rides around here.
