  3. Interesting. On one of the videos the guy had prototyped some gears etc and I thought it was pretty awesome. I assumed the layer-layer bonding was pretty good after the example of the foosball guy etc. All thing above stated I still want one. I showed my wife and her response was: that's cool. Now I just need to bide my time....
  4. I hope both of you enjoy your purchases
  5. Are we talking about condoms?
  6. Apparently it's totally free software once you can feed it an STL file which most any solid modeler will generate. Or there are lots of models on line to start. The plastic is the same stuff as for lego. I can see people doing some sweet diy enclosures etc
  7. The price point on this bad boy is nuts though $950 for everything. Now I have to think of a use.
  8. Happy Birthday
  9. Not audio related but damn it's cool: Video: MakerBot's build-it-yourself 3D printer in action, replicator in the works -- Engadget CupCake CNC - MakerBot Industries If I had somewhere I could put it I'd be all over it. That is flat out frigging cool. Custom heaphone stands, knobs, wtf else. So cool
  10. When you work at a 92000 person company conformity is at a premium I'm afraid.
  11. Beefy: Congrats on the presentation. I fought with Microsoft Word to get it to correctly label equations and cross reference them. Fuck I miss latex. Figured it out though and now have a macro written. Now I'm waiting for a meeting that was supposed to start 25 minutes ago.

  17. Thanks for all the reccomendations guys. We had a good time. Ate at Del Frisco's and it was nice, rest of my party had sea food which I think was a poor choice. Oh well The Hilton Garden Inn Times Square was great, 1 block from Time's square but far enough away to be relatively quiet. Had a gym and a pretty good attached restaurant for breakfast. Walking distance to pretty much anything (depending on how much walking you want to do).
  18. ^ That (I'm a copy cat)
  19. I find it rather sad that you guys think that greed (which is not self interest) makes the world go round. It certainly drives a lot of people but I don't think the majority is this way. I know a lot of people that could earn more but chose not to because they didn't enjoy it (ex lawyers, from the good times).
  20. I dunno, some people do it for the challenge and satisfaction more than anything else. My parent's are "of means" (entirely self earned) but I would argue that greed really isn't in their vocab. I strive to be much the same.
  21. In summary. Never underestimate people's greed.
  22. Got up and did 1:20 on the bike with 45min at 95+ rpm at the pedal and HR just below LT. Damn that's one way to kickstart your body in the morning. I then went to McD's for breakfast and ate slightly fewer calories than I burned Then I went to work Looks like another (relatively) nice day for a ride
