Nice Vicki, just go easy. The scrapes are no big deal, its my left hip that is giving me the most trouble. I popped a Mobic and icing now. I'm hoping Gail wants to do a road ride later just to see if I can. I was able to ride a couple of miles on the trails after the fall so I'm hoping it's just a bruise and some swelling. Chris, what is the temp?

Did about 6 miles today with two nice falls. They seem to happen on the easier parts of the trails. I guess in not paying enough attention. Did some steep drops without problem. I have some nice scratches.

I didn't notice the reflectors until your post. They come off in the morning. I want to ride in the morning but it's going to be in the low 40's, which is a bit cold for me. I don't think I would risk my phone in that contraption.

I'm still going to road bike but i can't deny that when I was last road riding 10 years ago I stopped completely after starting to mountain bike. Glad your ankle is doing well.

I'm trying to decide whether to forgo alcohol at our holiday lunch and ride again this afternoon. I need a go pro but that will have to wait.

Missed your post Vicki, great news! Look forward to riding with you again. I think half fingers are good for now bit I need mtb specific shirts I think. In particular with a zippered pocket. I also will try my Camelback tomorrow.

How do I upload a video from my iPhone? Took my first ride on the bike today. Took one fall that spilled little bit of blood coming around the corner with some loose dirt in the tires didnt hold and i went down. It will take a little getting used to the 29er. There is a lot of switch backs that are more difficult to maneuver due to the trie size.

To the mountain bikers, full finger gloves or half? Also, do you wear mtb specific shorts or just cycling shorts under regular shorts?

The culprit was a couple of pinch flats. I took it to the shop to have them give me a quick tutorial and I realized my mistake. All is a go for a maiden ride Saturday morning. The park opens at sunrise so I am tempted to go out for 45 minutes tomorrow or Friday morning. I wish I had a Go Pro, I suspect my first few rides will be entertaining.

I paid on time but have not received a shipping notice, although, it's possible the Mikey received my notice.
