  1. Thanks everyone. Got the tire on and It won't hold air. I give up. I am taking it to a shop tomorrow.
  2. Funny you mention the GP 4000 because I got a flat this morning in one. They are nice tires but I need me some skins. I ordered some ultras. On a similar note and because I am jinxed I checked the mtb today and the rear tire was flat. I rode it on my block last night for 5 minutes for gods sake. I took off the tire, which was quite a feat. I found a small hole, patched it. Now I can't get the tire back on. Any recommendations would be welcome.
  3. Thanks. I'm going to try to get out one morning this week. In order to ride the park which is about 6 miles from me, I have to watch a video, sign a waiver and get a card showing I am in compliance. This is new since I rode there more than 10 years ago. It's in a county park so I get it. I need to find when they are open in the morning so I have enough time to get a short ride in.
  4. When you are sitting on the sit and stopped are you able to get your foot flat on the ground or it is just the tip of your toes. I have long legs and i'm on the tips of my toes when I put my foot down while seated.
  5. Set it up a bit at lunch. The 19" seems to fit but I can't believe how big this bike is with the 29" wheels. It is a pretty strange feeling being on a bike that is so high off the ground and physically large, especially when I am used to riding my road bike. It dwarfed my old hard tail mountain bike. Not sure what I think at this point.
  6. Nice Chris! New arrival:
  7. Great job Vicki and Jeff!
  8. Nice ride Jp. No rides this weekend but looking forward to a tuned up road bike and new mtb tomorrow. Those Stinner's are stunning. Nice wheels Jeff.
  9. Dinner at Ella's:
  10. Wise move Vicki, although I was looking forward to pics of you with my bike.
  11. Agree with Gene, it was watchable but not great. I still like to the classic stuff, like The Who and Stones but there is so much newer music I prefer now that they don't have the same appeal any more.
  12. I think we get the point already.
  13. I say Ray Samuels. He will take you for a nice meal.
  14. Just bought the XT PD-M785 pedals from Amazon Prime for $82.00.
  15. RIP Mr. Shankar.
  16. We go to Asheville a lot and love it there. My kids used to go to camp in Hendersonville. It's a cool little town. Asheville has a great beer store called Bruisin Ales and some great places to eat.
  17. If it's an issue, I will deal with it. Any suggestions on pedals? I used to use spd's set inside platforms. I still have them so will give them a try. I've read that some people have stopped using clipless pedals and use platforms.
  18. Give Ray Samuels a call, maybe he can meet you for lunch.
  19. Thank you Dusty.
  20. FIFY Sweet it is!
  21. Elixir 3's and no shock pump. I'm going to have my mechanic do it since I will be out of town and he can do any adjustments for me.
  22. Mtb arrives Friday. Mechanic on alert to get it built (minimal build up required) and adjusted over the weekend while I am away. I hope to try it out the following weekend.
  23. Another suggestion is to go to Asheville and ride Pisgah National Forest. Great town to hang out and tons of riding options, I liked Mulberry Gap because there are a bunch of cabins and trails right off the property.
  24. Do some research. I've read that people have used Trico cases and others for full suspension mtb.
  25. I think we need to plan a mountain biking meet this spring here: http://www.mulberrygap.com
