Wavelength WaveLink Asynchronous USB to S/PDIF converter.
Nice, seems to be a great summary of the issues. It is somewhat surprising you dont see more slaved PCI transports, as it really doesnt take much to implement, and some even can be made to sync to an input signal, so would require no hacking.

Cool, sounds good.

Very nice! A function generator is probably the next major test equipment purchase for me, but I am not really sure what to look for or from where.

HF-2 problems - HELP.....
Other problem is you are apt to get significant unwanted driver damping that way.

And I have heard of a certain someone who has a tice in need of testing/de-mothballing. Actually, I would be really curious to see how your measurements and what Senn provided match up on the HD800.

What did you do today?
Worked, then ran 2.5 miles in 15 minutes, which is a personal best.

Which is most accurate? Which one looks best?
Right, I have done the same thing here at work, and they still look worlds apart, to the point that my boss was bitching about it for days. All fairly recent LCDs.

Toronto meet at philodox'
Proper means fully removing the harmonics of the square wave. Take a 44.1khz input single, apply 8x OS, and then sufficient LPF to get the response down by 384khz, where the first image appears. You will get the same output as the original, in that 20-22.5khz 0-96dB range. Outside of this sure, high rez is unquestionably superior. Oh, and dont think you can get away without a reconstruction filter on high rez either.

And what do you get after a proper reconstruction filter?

But how will you measure them?

Fluke 179?
I await upon your report, good sir.

Print your own circuit boards?
I dunno, how would you go about soldering to it, and what about through holes? The biggest issue with etching your own boards has been, IMO, the need to drill out a few hundred holes by hand.

Fluke 179?
I have similar temptations. The VC99 looks quite nice. Also need an inductance meter (well, want), signal generator, and quite a bit of other test equipment.
-
Fluke 179?
I would try the ones it comes with first.
