Maybe, depending on what work is at that time. I will make it if I can.
  6. Right, and the ESP950 are fairly mediocre on the comfort front. Those pads just are awful.

I got to hear the Lite this past weekend, and it only served to increase expectations for the 307A MenaceTC.
  8. Excellent. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am.
  9. I just got off an ISP which capped us to 7gb a month, and yeah, it really sucks.
  10. Damn Stretch, thats crazy! For me: Broke my oscilloscope. Fixed my oscilloscope. Did some basic TDR measurements of SPDIF circuits.
  11. I also believe that RCA connectors, while not having a standard impedance they try to conform to, are also not constant impedance connectors. That is to say, they may be say, 30r at one spot, but 50r at another. I believe I have seen the impedance of RCA connectors generalized in the 30-40ohm range. Also, they arnt really made as RF connectors, so probably have issues there.
  12. Just to be clear, we are talking about CDs and stuff here.
  13. Sweet. I am kinda in love with the built in holder for the bias pot trimmer, might have to steal that idea sometime.
  14. Assuming the BNC in your gear is actually providing a good impedance match, you will have one less reflection from impedance mismatch, which can only be a good thing.
  15. Sorry I cant help convert the unwashed masses, but this meet is at the same time as the Florida meet.
  16. Yup. Sony v6, Sazerac 18, DEQ, and two bottles of Diet Mt. Dew.
  17. Penny and Giles RF15. Though if you really only need the range of -40 to -85dB, methinks you have way too much gain in your rig, and would be better served by first rectifying that.

Doesnt discount me at all. The whole meet seemed pretty split about which they preferred. Everything about this hobby really is down to personal preference, I have just stated mine here. You are all free to disagree with that. I also have no idea what rigs other people were using, and I didnt try the two of them on a wide range of rigs either. I know there was someone walking around comparing the two out of an imod-portable amp.

Should be some difference, as you dont get the leather-skin seal.

He didnt say, and I didnt ask. He also did say they would be offering upgrade cables, and laughed and agreed when he saw me roll my eyes. Not fit exactly, no way to attach them with the stock method, but they are almost exactly the right size. I will try them pressure fit. Probably would have to use double sticky tape to affix them, unless one got creative. The headband looked like a little more finished version of the one we have seen pics of. Dunno if it is final. You wouldnt like them, at least in this form. Maybe more open pads and more damping would fix it, but I dunno. They had partial velour pads, leather side/velour against the head, but same complaint. Maybe a bit less, but there was probably an hour between when I listened to both of them, so I wouldnt really want to try and say.
