OMG what a race. I'm glad there are no casualties. I won't say more not to spoil the fun of those not watching it live.

Happy Birthday, Bryan!!!

I didn't say it was, but I think competition makes for better products at better prices, at least in theory. OTOH it could be bad for Mac sales if users of Adobe products on OSX decide to go Windows to be able to keep using their apps. It's not that becoming a power user of any Adobe program is easy. Chungo is also sick and looking bad. Very colloquial, almost slang.
-
They're forcing people to move to Apple's design tools and getting rid of Adobe's.
-
I had to look for chungus. In Spain's Spanish we have "chungo" which has a completely different meaning.

This time I remembered where we're keeping this thread A very enlightening video on how to use a single mode, in this case locrian, to create very different moods. Funnily enough my yesterday's class was about that.

Have a great day. Happy Birthday!!!

Is Mac & Cheese a Mac Donald's Cheeseburger? -
For some reason I don't find this thread when I look for it in "offtopic" or "music" A short video with good hints and cues to reharmonize tunes. This guy knows his shit but his videos are more entertaining than educative most of the times.

Yup, we can agree on both terms, the evil narcissist is most likely heading to a non-extradition country, but that's not the end of the danger for a planet full of egotist morons.

I wish you were right. That curse isn't in the government but in the people.

Some jazz recorded the year that I was born, but released this year, right today: Available for download, CD ordering or free listening at Storyville Records in Bandcamp I've just learned that Dexter Gordon can sing rather acceptably.

Just finished a fantastic jazz recording by 7 musicians who decided to form a supergroup comprised of pianist and musical director Renee Rosnes, clarinetist Anat Cohen, tenor saxophonist Melissa Aldana, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, bassist Noriko Ueda, drummer Allison Miller, and featured vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant Artemis - ARTEMIS As usual available on most streaming services

Yesterday died someone who probably you never heard of, the spanish jazz saxophonist Pedro Iturralde at 91. He wasn't a top ten player, but he did a lot for jazz in Spain in the dark ages. He recorded a few enjoyable albums, one of them was Flamenco Jazz (it had part1 and part2). You can pay a listen in any of the popular streaming platforms of your choice. Or just this tune RIP, Pedro

For those of you interested in improving your guitar playing, this article could be of interest. Tomo Fujita, the Berklee teacher we've talked about before, is featured at #5. Also a girl of Dusty's liking.

RIP Mr Connery. You'll be missed and remembered.

I'm very sorry, Fitz. Hugs, RIP Matilda.

Thank you for the elaborated reply. I visited the dosdude page and watched the video, it seemed somewhat time consuming to implement the upgrade, that's why asked if it's worth it. I hadn't considered the security implications and the compatibility issues with the newest versions of software. I'm not an intensive user, I might try it once I get the new machine.

Do you recommend update to Catalina on such old machines, did you notice any performance improvement or something justifying the work and risk?
