RIP Moon Martin. He died the 11th I knew it yesterday. I listened a lot to his Shots from a Cold Nightmare in my teens.

The lovely cassette deck I mentioned above. TBH it wasn't as good sounding as the looks would suggest. Still I recorded a ton of vinyls into cassettes with that machine.

Did you play them? I like a lot the OM or 000 form guitars. Never played or saw in person a Collings.

In Spain we call them "válvulas". In other Spanish speaking countries they call them "tubos", but not in Spain. I rarely see them named valves in English.

I had a Marantz cassette deck which was the immediate predecessor of that in this picture. They were about the same, just slight changes in the VUmeters colors and the action buttons. More than 40 years ago. Time flies.

I hadn't seen the mountains (La Sierra) that clearly since I was a little kid and none of the tall buildings were there, not even the broadcast tower in front which is from 1982.

I happen to live in a country where we have five candidates. All suck. No exception. Nowadays politicians are in it for the money, or the power, or the relevance, who knows, but none happens to be there for the common profit. It feels as though the guys who are really pulling the threads pay for such incompetent people to be in the race.

Horrible days. It comes to my attention that musicians are being way less fortunate falling sick from that fucking virus than actors and other artists. I'm wondering if they made lesser money. RIP Bill, Bucky, Marcelo, Mike, Wallace and Manu
