Maybe you should use Tickle Me Lemos! Oh, I just talked to Jude and he said that Tyll had the 800s on for 20 minutes this morning and thinks they may be the best dynamic cans he has heard. I know we will hear from Tyll directly, but that seems like some amount of further confirmation. Plus, the Senn genius trust didn't even have the Dac 1 Pre so they are using the brand new Emm Labs dac as a digital transport into the the Dac 1! There may be a better way to listen to these cans, I'd imagine.

Somebody will have to tell me what measurements I want, other than 36-24-36, which I already know about.

Dan and Nate, I agree with you. I was just including his physical description of it which could be a Lemo type or not. I wouldn't expect him to know if it is really standard or not. Should have been more clear.

This is what bostonears said on HF after he saw them yesterday at CES: The cable appears to be higher quality than the old HD600 series cable, and is said to be silver-plated copper. The cable connectors are definitely non-standard. They use two small pins recessed within round metal surrounds, rather than protruding from plastic as in the old design. The connectors seem much sturdier than the old style, and it might be a while before third party cable makers duplicate them.

And, I get to pick which pair I want from the Frequency Response charts on sennheiser.com (even though I won't know which one is "better" based on that info)! I told Todd he should offer that for any buyers when he has multiple pairs available so they feel like they have some choice in the matter.

Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, etc. It is supposed to be easy to use and very accurate. You can put it on top of an LP and take stylus drag into account, which is a nice touch.

Yeah, I want to see them sometime because they have a fun feel to them.
