Dan and Nate, I agree with you. I was just including his physical description of it which could be a Lemo type or not. I wouldn't expect him to know if it is really standard or not. Should have been more clear.

This is what bostonears said on HF after he saw them yesterday at CES: The cable appears to be higher quality than the old HD600 series cable, and is said to be silver-plated copper. The cable connectors are definitely non-standard. They use two small pins recessed within round metal surrounds, rather than protruding from plastic as in the old design. The connectors seem much sturdier than the old style, and it might be a while before third party cable makers duplicate them.

Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, etc. It is supposed to be easy to use and very accurate. You can put it on top of an LP and take stylus drag into account, which is a nice touch.
