  1. Cal Tjader Quartet -- Live at the Blackhawk
  2. Worked from home. Founded Rain Man Records with JP#s. Definitely needledrop'd 8 records. Went to my son's school for a pot luck holiday lunch and presentation of Native American reports.
  3. Cool. JP#s and I saw Susan Tedeschi earlier this year with Derek Trucks. If they make it your way you should definitely see them.
  4. Glad they got to you! I just tracked them and Amazon had them for delivery on thursday! I'm really glad you like the discs, and you'll have to explore the Progressions box for some new guitarists. You definitely seem to like Burrell, Montgomery, and others, so I thought you could find some new blood. I also figured Lucinda Williams was up your alley but you hadn't posted about that album so I took a shot. Enjoy and have a happy holiday! I opened your PM but it looked like you were talking about what you sent me and I haven't opened them yet so I closed it and decided to respond here.
  5. Lily for the win! Oh, and the amp looks the business, Nate. Nice work.
  6. Maybe he got his 3-letter Head-Casers mixed up. Poor GPH will have to make do with coal lumps.
  7. Only if you want to be banned.
  8. That smiley is perfect for you! grawk should make = Quite right, redshitter was who I meant. It's fine that they have their little jokes and love letters to -=her=- and all, but I really don't need that shit over here.
  9. Man, did I see the most awesomest toy Daleks at a local cards/comics/toys shop! I thought of you, of course, even though I've never met you.
  10. I sure as hell hope not, Nate, because this guy comes here with a giant asshat already planted on him in my book. I was just saying to Nums last night that redmolassas, redleader, kirosia, etc., not only added nothing to HF but are in fact subtractive. They drive away people who actually have something relevant to say because people are not willing to wade through all the pure bullshit they spout trying to be cute and funny and edgy. Given that he already has called himself a "professional thread derailer" in his first 15 posts here is not a good sign. If all his buds come over here then this place will start to suck ass real fast.
  11. I was a pretty sporadic Dexter watcher until this season. Good shit.
  12. It's lonely in here. No, that's not the title of the album I am listening to, it is just a statement of fact. Not much action in the split thread. Sadness lingers... Brad Mehldau -- The Art of the Trio Vol. 2 - Live at the Village Vanguard
  13. Reks- Without spoilerizing everybody, what did think of the Dexter Morgan show?

You don't think those gyrating morons evoked any homoerotic overtones? Talk about your overtones. That super soaker ad is really freakish. Matrix Dubya is teh awesum.
  15. Bummer that the season is over, but Dexter finally grabbed me about half way through and I thought the last 5 or 6 episodes were *killer* (pun intended, duh).
  16. Talking Heads -- Fear of Music Also
  17. I'm sure it will be llama rocking, I just really liked the combo idea.
  18. Talking Heads -- Remain in Light
  19. Yes sir!
  20. What happened to my slightly snarky response? It went something like this: "It sounds exactly like Weezer singing Christmas songs." Plus, I updated to current listening: Paul Weller -- Weller at the BBC (4-disc box set)
  21. I am going to see Amanda Palmer and the Danger Ensemble plus Butchers and Builders. Zoe Keating was on the bill when I bought my ticket and frankly was half the reason for going, but the listing no longer contains her on the lineup. That will piss me off, but I guess I will go anyway for AP.
  22. Christmas with Weezer
  23. Got my discs from riceboy and can't decide whether to put them under the tree [we don't have yet]. I think I will wait. . .
  24. dammit! The printer has an ethernet connection so further to the question above can I use that for wireless scanning?
  25. Good to hear the Brother can last. We have our printer on an Airport Express so I skipped the wireless models. It works really well from desktop and laptops all over the house. Excellent solution. If my wife wanted a music setup down there, I do that as well, but she just uses those little round Apple speakers that came with an older iMac (with an adapter (iFire?) I bought years ago). One question for those in the know, is it possible to connect the AE to a printer with an ethernet input? The setup refers to USB printers and that is how I have always hooked them up, including this one. I was wondering if the ethernet would be faster or something.
