  1. What's Christmas without a few pints?
  2. LFF Christmas CD won in the contest. Good stuff Luis!
  3. Shit, I would have a LOT more money if I had known that!
  4. Dateline Las Vegas: Desert Stormy, the newest Vivid "Girl", launches an offensive on CES convention. Thousands of audio geeks abandon gear obsessions for a new passion. :o:o
  5. lolz, but I thought this idea was to confess to audio sins or stupidities such as Ken and Tyler's admissions. The gear whoring is covered in this thread already, although I have no idea whether I have come clean yet. My current sin is that I bought the beautiful KGSS DX and have barely listened to it because it arrived in the mix during the major speaker rig overhaul.
  6. The Cryo Craptacular! I'm glad Nate got called out to come clean on his list too. At least I have a little more company now. I like the audio confessions idea, but Mike made it all Jewy and then Sherwood made it all Papal with the confessional reference. How about something more secular altogether like "Confessions of the Compulsive Audiophile" or "Oops I did it again" or some such.
  7. I really like later Guster. I don't think I have ever heard this one so I am copy-catting you.
  8. Does CES really mean AVN? I always wondered why so many guys wanted to go there!? Have a great time Naaman. Go see Steve Hoffman speak if you have a chance. He puts on a good show.
  9. I kinda like that BFQ record myself! Helping me forget that I have misplaced my Manitas de Plata CD.
  10. The Doors -- The Doors (DCC Gold CD)
  11. The Bluesville Years -- Jump, Jimpin' the Blues
  12. Just purchased from Acoustic Sounds: Muddy Waters Folk Singer 200 Gram Vinyl LP Shakey Jake Mouth Harp Blues 45 RPM Vinyl LP Lightnin' Hopkins Goin' Away 45 RPM Vinyl LP John Lee Hooker That's My Story 45 RPM Vinyl LP Neil Young Live at Fillmore East 200 Gram Vinyl LP Van Morrison Moondance 180 Gram Vinyl LP (Preorder) Blue Christmas to me!
  13. Wish I was!
  14. The other blues records I got from the 100 greatest on 45 RPM are also great. Lightnin' Hopkins - Last Night Blues with Sonny Terry, Lightnin' Hopkins - Lightnin', and John Lee Hooker - Burning Hell are all great. I have just ordered John Lee Hooker - That's My Story, Lightnin' Hopkins - Goin' Away, and Shakey Jake - Mouth Harp Blues for the very reason you point out!
  15. Well, I had made certain assumptions based upon a thread that is no longer available (disappeared), but it does not seem to be known who is remastering these titles.
  16. Is there any question about the mastering?
  17. Totally agree Deepak. His bass playing is great and simply awesome on many of the tracks.
  18. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals -- Live in Skowhegan
  19. Art Pepper: Smack Up! and Winter Moon
  20. To clarify it, you can add "Squeezebox 3" to the In list for Mayberry Family Speaker Rig or whatever it's called.
  21. Diverging tastes.
  22. That is kind of you to note, Tyler. I certainly don't amass stuff to say I have it. I use this stuff daily and did the desktop rig upgrade because I listen more in my office than I typically can at home. Thank you sir. "Duh, it's wireless" is an awesome response. However, I have two SB3s and only one Sigma. Wanted the better setup in Mayberry.
  23. Alright, alright. I didn't list everything I did in part because I don't remember it and in part because it is obscene. I also couldn't remember dates and the Beta seemed like last year but Mike is right. Nate is also right, so I guess I have to try to finish up. It is confusing even for me and I did it all but here is the 2008 purchase/sale/shifting that I did. If an In or Out says "moved" then it was something I shifted from one rig to another. Otherwise In means purchsed in 2008 and Out means sold or up for sale in 2008.
