  1. Reading through the manual, found out my new bass is star grounded. How quaint
  2. You are not trending well.
  3. Oh my oh my, Greg. Beooteefull
  4. Thank you, thank you. I visited a friend of mine who sells really top shelf gear yesterday on a lark, and he had this baby lying around. It was a long ways from cheap (and not a long ways from a BHSE), but damned if it isn't the nicest instrument I've ever touched. It took a massive culling of headphone gear to make it happen, but happen it did. Go to hell, and then tell that to Duck Dunn
  5. Oh no... the expensive hobby is back... It's a custom Dingwall Afterburner II bass with a buckeye burl top. Better to make music if you can, right? I mean... right?
  6. Awesome news, Aimless!
  7. regardless of the musical tastes of the person I am paired with, they will be receiving the same CD. It's my favorite CD of last year, and I want everyone to know how great it is.
  8. Photography is an interesting hobby, Marc. It seems to largely involve looking terrible so that someone else doesn't have to.
  9. Jh is in hong kong right now, and was in london for a fair bit of last week. I imagine that contributes to their recent lapse in communication.
  10. Dinny, my boy! Happy Birthday to ye!

Much as I would love that, I'd have difficulty in a world where CDs were that large.
  12. I hereby designate "fixedsys" the sarcastic font.
  13. I agree with that.
  14. I get the lowest noisefloor out of bnc -> optical.
  15. You make me smile
  16. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that the above gentleman was doing just that with his feet at the very moment the picture was taken. You can tweak your Google Image Search parameters to only allow pictures of attractive penises, if you wish.

Get out of my head, Slim Pickens.
  18. Make a couple grand. These things are insane.
  19. Yeah, the actual musicianship and the music itself is top notch. I get the impression that they went for the traditional "crowd around an old microphone" bluegrass recording approach, but I'm disappointed with the result. Luckily, there's plenty more Chris Thile that's well recorded.
  20. True as that may be, I'm always somewhat surprised when a show I'm enjoying gets cancelled.
  21. It appears to be true:
  22. Vicki, how does this album sound? I have a dig. copy of it, obtained less than ethically, and it is absolutely terrible. Muffled dynamics, flabby bass, yuck. It's so bad that I held off on buying the real deal, for fear that it would be basically the same.
