Headphone in–the-head localization effect solution

Featured Replies

Headphone in–the-head localization effect cause: sound doesn’t have the couple/affect with the ear and the human upper torso then direct enter the ear channel, the factors for human brain to locate sound source are missing.

Solution: supplement the missing factors.

I used DSP to handle a music section: the first 10 seconds are intact, then 10 seconds have processed… repeat and cycle for easier comparison. This music section is just for in ear headphone type like AKG3003.  Please feel free to comment, I will be very appreciate!

You can download this music track from Baidu Cloud storage, link: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1kTp6TDl  access code:3x7g

Aura's gif is spot on to my reaction.

This is perfectly clear to me....we've been listening to the music in the wrong era!

I bet if I time-traveled back to 1842, but brought my portable player and phones/IEM's with me, I would have an out of the head non-localized effect.

I assume by era you meant ear?

Or may be it was era. Then 1842 would make sense.

ear, ear... (must be said with a cockney accent).

Fortunately, I have no human torso, therefore headphone listening sounds identical to speaker listening for me. Except for the fact that I have to speak out of my ass, it works out quite well.

There's no body of evidence for a conviction.

It's all in your head.

It has funny looking ears though. Not at all suited for headphones....

The original post sounds like a black magic incantation of some sort. I ain't messing with this shit.
