August 15, 20241 yr And for once an M5 touring is coming to the US. https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2025-bmw-m5-touring-debut-first-look.html Interesting times, has Brent forgotten his biscuits?
August 15, 20241 yr Shame a stick isn't an option. For the money, I would take an Audi RS 6 Avant over the M5 wagon despite higher power numbers with the plug-in electric motor helping. Nice to see the wagon head stateside all the same. HS
August 15, 20241 yr I've always wanted an M5 with the touring option being even more awesome. But....Porsche.
August 16, 20241 yr Just make it an EV already if it is going to be that heavy. I know driving impressions of the new M5 have said it isn’t as bad as the weight would make it seem, but still. Near 5,500 lbs is just absurd in something that is meant to be decent going around a corner. Edited August 16, 20241 yr by TMoney
September 7, 20241 yr I had the pleasure of driving this little gem in Colorado earlier this week. What a treat! HS
September 15, 20241 yr The clone General Lee from Dukes of Hazard fame that was jumped... If one looks at the interior it becomes immediately clear the shell is a Dodge Charger, but not much else. It looks to be a Ford Crown Victoria's bones...including the floor pan that is rusted straight through... HS
September 16, 20241 yr If anyone is interested who Raymond Kohn is, who signed the car. This guy: (also the people seem a little close)
November 14, 20241 yr And an aftermarket turn signal stalk https://54.185.22.159.nip.io/product/model-3-2024-gear-turn-signal-stalk/ For roundabouts. Oh wait. USA / ex BMW drivers. Edited November 14, 20241 yr by Grahame
November 20, 20241 yr Rip Jaaaag Brand identity? I wonder what Jezza will have to say on the matter? At least there's the TWR Supercat to look at in the meantime.
November 20, 20241 yr Right up there with Stellantis aggressively pulling the V8 from the U.S. market and raising prices...stock down 40% or so last I checked. The turbo V6 (Hurricane) is not going over well in pickup trucks here and that was their bread and butter profitability / cash cow. Also, milking the HEMI vehicles with little R&D over 18 years and subsequently force feeding electric vehicles. I think offering them as an option along side ICE and allowing the consumer to transition would have been the better move here. Funnily, Stellantis is now threatening to bring back the 392 (6.4L) V8 in a couple of U.S. vehicles and Tavares has announced he won't renew his contract that ends I think in Q1 26...not soon enough. The board should boot him... HS
November 20, 20241 yr I am finding out that driving a sports car with UHP summer tires to work on rainy mornings in the high 30s can wake you up real quick! Traction and ESC interventions work better than coffee. 🙃
November 20, 20241 yr this is why i have 4 sets of tires for 2 cars. seriously under 40 degrees F is death for summer only performance tires. besides which the tires will crack and then you have to throw them out.
November 20, 20241 yr If I buy a place next year that has a garage my first purchase will be another set of wheels. Mainly to put EP semi-slicks on for track duty, but it also means I can dump the summers for all-seasons on the first set of wheels if I need to. Edited November 20, 20241 yr by TMoney
November 20, 20241 yr "mixed" reactions to Jaguar rebrand. https://www.jaguar.co.uk/copy-nothing/index.html https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/jaguar-rebrand-what-do-you-think Edited November 20, 20241 yr by Grahame
November 22, 20241 yr Quite interesting to see the difference between road car and race car. A good portion of the time difference is the tires but certainly not all
November 28, 20241 yr This is one of the better videos I have seen explaining the different tire categories and why you’d pick one over the other. I will be sharing this with my friends who still keep their sports cars on all-season grand touring tires to let them know what they are missing out on!
